Sheraton Vistana Resort vs. Villages?

What is the difference between Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages? I know they are different resorts, but I'm wondering if people have a preference of one vs. the other.

vistana resort is closer to wdw.

villages is newer overall. it's more in-between wdw and universal in location.

vistana resort interiors have been refurbished in the last few years, so i don't think there's a giant quality disparity either way.

primarily due to location, i've stayed at SVR twice in the last 3 years and i had great experiences.

We've never stayed at the villages but did stay at SVR and really liked it!
