Sheraton Vistana Resort Villa Locations

We're checking into a 2 bedroom villa at the Sheraton Vistana resort next month. This is our first time staying here. What is the best location to request?

At this point, you probably only need to ask for a refurbished room---and they might even be done, by now. Most of the resort is, and all of the sections that have been completed are now quite nice. Call the resort to see where they are in the refurbishment schedule.

After that, some people prefer to be on one side or the other of "the street" that cuts the resort in two, but I'm not sure it matters that much. There are positives to either side.

Loved the 2 BR, my stepbrother is an owner and gave us a week in Dec 2010. His unit is in Cascades which has elevators. I had read through threads last year that stated only Cascades and Lakes had elevators, this was a must for us since my mom visited for a few days and uses a scooter. Some things we brought with us that were useful: pump hand soap, small dish soap, dish towels,clorox wipes,plastic cups,paper plates,coffee-we run on Dunkin', lol, Purex laundry sheets,paper towels and garbage bags for dirty laundry which I kept on top of the small washer until I had time to do a load. We flew and visited my parents on West Coast first so we purchased non perishables there, food was bought at Super Walmart near Vistana. I psycho researched that trip, so I am thrilled to share some tips I learned! If I can be of any help, let me know.

We have owned there for around 18 years and enjoyed every visit!

You likely will not be able to request a specific phase. Your reservation is already in a particular phase and Vistana really likes to keep your reservation Phase specific.

Yet, you can call ahead 30 or less days prior to your reservation start date for any special requests for your room such as ground floor, ADA, near or away from a pool, etc.

Sure, ask for a refurbished room if the phase you are in is currently undergoing a refurbishment.
