Sheraton Vistana Resort-need suggestion

Hello everyone. Thanks in advance for your help. We are going on family holiday to Disney and have 2 weeks booked at SVR @ Lake Buena Vista. We are told to call them a month before to arrange which area we would like. It will be my husband & i as well as our children (8&6). Can anyone suggest which area of the resort to chose for pool proximity & which one the kids would enjoy the most. Makes it easier for schlepping gear to the pool right?

We stayed in the fountains area. It was close to the food court and two pools. It worked out great for our three kids. The only problem was no elevators in that section so we had to lug our luggage up to the 3rd floor . I think there is a whole thread on this site about the SV too. I researched that before we went because they were still renovating and I wanted to make sure I got a renovated room

We like the Fountains also, but I thought they were only two floors. We always ask for the ground floor, which is great as long as you don't have noisy neighbors upstairs.

It depends what you want.... most of the rooms seems to be fairly close to a pool. I actually went through and made a document to help me figure out what section worked best for our family. Cascades is requested a lot because there's a nice pool and the market is right there. Fountains is a good area because the food court is nearby. I personally was looking for something a bit quieter and I wanted a specific floor plan (did not want the spa tub in the bedroom but in the bathroom and a lot of the floor plans have them in the bedroom for some reason). I'd suggest looking at floor plans to see if anything pops out at you, then looking for reviews of that area.

Hi:
We've stayed everywhere at the Vistana. My kids favorite units are the Falls. They are smaller (no master hot tub in the room and twin beds in the second room) but were recently redone. My kids love the pool there because it has a small waterslide. They never seem to get sick of that particular pool. Plus, you can easily walk to three other pools and the activities center. The falls units only have two floors and are a quieter part of the resort.
