what does this entail spiceycat? How long is it offered we are staying here in Oct. Thanks Kathy

it is something Maria told us about.

the check in line for diamond is generally alot less. so you get in and out quicker. plus it takes request.

so you can make request.

she says anywhere from 2 months to 2 weeks.

I am going in May and since it was back - did it yesterday.

there was a long period since Dec, when you couldn't use it unless you were a member.

so glad it is back!!!

I do not own a unit nor did I do an exchange or anything like that. I simply am renting a 2 bedroom villa for 8 nights and I will be arriving about 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night. Do I have anything to gain by signing up? Can I just use the form to put in some preferences and let them know I'll be a late check-in? Do you think that might increase my chances of getting a nice unit when I get there rather than whatever is left after most others have checked in for the night?

It could benefit you to put in the requests, but the only problem is the Diamond Lane closes at 7 pm. I'd still fill it out--- can't hurt. The info should get transferred in the computer system to the main desk. You might also want to back up any specific requests (i.e. room request) with a Fax to the resort (Fax 407 239 3111 ), to the attention of the Vistana Room Controller.

As an example, I know I'll be placed in the Fountains section every time I stay. We like to request 3rd floor. We love the vaulted ceiling and skylight in the living room available only on the upper floors. Alot of people like to request "ground floor" when staying in any section other than the Cascades or Lakes because there are no elevators.
