I think this is a fairly tricky question for the experts! If I'm told I'll be in a 2BR room that sleeps 6, instead of the version that sleeps 8, can I figure out the possible areas of assignment? (Falls, Lakes, Cascades, etc.) Or do all of the sections have both sleep 6 and sleep 8 versions? Thanks.

hi there - I own at Vistana, so I know this answer.....

A 2 bedroom will sleep 6 with privacy - 2 in king bed in master bedroom, 4 in the 2 beds in 2nd bedroom. It will sleep 8 total including the sleeper sofa in the living room.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reply but I see a Skyauction reference to sleeps 6 and an upgrade charge if you want one of the ones that sleeps 8. (Maybe at every section they have some units with singles in the 2nd bedroom and some units with full size beds in the 2nd bedroom.) I was wondering if someone knew, say, that only a couple of sections had the sleep 6 variety. (By sections I mean Falls, Spas, etc.)

Anyone stay at Sheraton Vistana and have twins in the 2nd bedroom? Or, I guess another way to get a "sleep 6" combo would be a king or queen in the 2nd bedroom.

A vistana unit that sleeps only 6 vs 8 has twin beds in the second bedroom, a queen size pull-out in the sofa and a king in the master bedroom. But, Vistana has roll-aways available for $5/night (I think that's the price) if you need them. You must reserve in advance I believe. We used one several years ago when we traded to a one bedroom and DD decided that now she was too old to share the pull-out with her brother. It was fine.

Oops, just reread your OP and realized what you asked. Call 1-800-vistana and ask which phase of the resort has twins in the 2nd bedroom. Something tells me its either Springs or Falls.

I did a search on vistana sleeps 6 and ended up on a resale site. Probably pretty accurate since they would list their occupancy at 8 if they could sleep 8. Anyway, guess the sleep 6 2BRs are common, found them listed in the Falls, Fountains, Cascades, Courts and Springs!

I'm staying at the Vistana for the first time in Sept. What section would have the second bdrm with two beds that sleep two people each? My mom and sis and my DS-5, DD-7,DD-9 will share the 2nd bdrm, hoping they will fit comfortably...

I'm saving the pullout sofa for my brother in law in case he decides to join, if not the kids are sleeping out on the sofa..

I'll also keep the roll away beds in mind...

Thx for the tip

IIRC, the only section with twin beds in the 2nd bedroom is "Falls." All of the other sections have two double beds in the 2nd bedroom.

Some timeshares advertise that their 2BR sleeps 6 when there is actually bedding for 8. DVC even does this with II for some of their resorts. It may reduce complaints when people max out the occupancy then feel it was too crowded. And it may reduce wear-and-tear on the units.
