My last experience with the sales people was in Aug, 2000 for a presentation and they were VERY pushy. We agreed to the 90 min sales presentation for $75. He dragged it on and on into 3 hours and we finally had to demand that we be released with our promised $75. He was very agitated with us. I'd say rude.....
Then, in 2007, when we made our reservations and Diamond Lane requests, someone from Vistana called about 3 weeks prior to arrival. They told us since we were owners, they wanted us to check in via the concierge service at the Cascades Rec bldg. Well....bad again. We waited for like 20 min for our assigned staff member and finally asked for the keys. At that point, our concierge , we discover, is a sales person. So we demand our keys and go to our room bypassing the whole "concierge" thing. We then get several phone calls.....we do not answer, but rather end up unplugging the phone.
It's about day 3 now. We come home from the parks only to find a note on our villa door. It's from the woman who called me on the phone 3 weeks prior to our arrival. Originally, she had confirmed our requests and invited us to check-in at the Cascades etc. Well the note from her pretty much says she didn't appreciate that we bypassed meeting with her on our check-in day after all the "hard work" she did to "get our requests fullfilled" etc.
So.....I, personally, have not had great luck with Vistana sales people, though I've read many accounts where people had no problems.
