Sheraton Suites Orlando Airport

Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Suites at MCO? Looking at staying there. Are there any restaurants or attractions within walking distance? How are the suites?

Have stayed there and love it..my family wished it was closer to Disney.

The suites are very nice..when you walk in, there is a wet bar, working desk, sofa, fireplace, large TV, and a recliner...then in the other room which has a door that can be closed was 2 queen beds, TV, large vanity, huge closet and a bathroom. The neat thing is we had access to the airport screen and was able to check our flights to see if it was running on time. We also appreciated the separate rooms because we could put the kids to bed as we repacked a lot of our junk into the suitcases for the trip home.

It is in a very popular area..there are a bunch of hotels right in a cluster...several restaurants close by, but I am at a loss right now which ones they were. There is also a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport. There is a nice outdoor pool, but we did not use it..also a restaurant/lounge in the hotel.

I stayed there a few years ago on a PL bid, around $50. There is a restaurant in the hotel, it was OK for breakfast. There is a chain restaurant in walking distance, I don't remember if it was Hooters or Dennys.

Like most airport hotels the shuttle driver will drop you off at anything within a few miles (tip). There is a Chilis in the general area but I'm not sure how long a walk it is.

We also stayed there after a late night flight and it was just fine. No complaints at all. Very roomy and the shuttles were very prompt on p/u and when DH had to go p/u the rental car, they took him right to National.
