Sheraton Studio City and More!

Hi... first trip to Universal so I'll be having plenty of questions and would appreciate any advice. A couple of questions today.

1. Has anyone stayed at the Sheraton Studio City? If so any comments?

2. Is $100 pp for a 3 day Universal pass with early admission and free City Walk a good deal?

3. What is the best guide book on Universal...I've got plenty of Disney?

We just stayed at the Sheraton Studio City this past December at $71 per night with an Internet rate and we also joined the Sheraton Starwood Club to get free upgrades or frequent flyer miles etc...

It was nice enough but I wouldn't stay there again.

We were going to stay at the Main Gate Holiday Inn but switched to that hotel because of things we read here and because of the great rate.

Anyway, we're going again this December and this time I was going to try the Holiday Inn Main Gate again but now that I know I can get the Hard Rock for only $117 with the Entertainment rate, we've decided to stay onsite.

The hotel was alright. It was just too art deco for my taste. It was convenient enough just nothing special. You may love it though.
