I need a hotel for three nights off site (then going to Nick, then Swan).... I have narrowed it down to these two... both are in the same price range, both have comparable reviews (both good and bad, lol) and both have nice pools with waterslides. So I guess what it comes down to is traffic... how are each of these as far as getting in and out of the parking lot, getting to the parks, etc???? Thanks!!!!

Although I've never stayed at this Radisson resort, I know where it is. Location-wise, the Safari is right outside the WDW gates at DTD so it's a quick ride to the parks vs. the Radisson is a few more miles away. I'm staying at the Safari for the 4th time next week and love this hotel. EXTREMELY convenient not only to WDW, but within walking distance to many restaurants. The pool is good with a fun waterslide and the rooms have always been clean. Also found the staff to be very accommodating.

HTH!!! :goodvibes

Never stayed at either , but I have always liked the look of the safari one!

So is it close enough to DTD to walk there? and could we then catch the Disney bus to the parks?? I know the Safari has a shuttle, but from some of the reviews it seems inconvenient as far as timing.

Thanks for the info!!!

I had originally had reservations for The Sheraton Safari...most recent reviews were very positive...however I changed it to the Royal Plaza because of the Shuttle Servie..it is quite limited...for instance they won't have buses for MNSSHP. The DTD buses do not go to the parks only Disney Resort Hotels and lastly, while you can walk to DTD it is a hike...about 3/4 of a mile.
Hope that helps.
