Yep - we stayed here too last October for a week - and we're back again for a couple of nights again next week, I'm very fussy so that must mean it's ok
It's in a great location, just down the road from Crossroads, where there are, like Susie says, loads of restaurants, shops etc and a great mini golf.
I personally think the Safari was excellent value for money. Even though we've booked a package through Virgin, we're only staying a couple of nights and then moving on to the HRH and then the Poly for three nights. The Safari is a nice hotel, rooms ok- we too had a pool view room, top floor with balcony, nice to sit and watch the late night swimmers. The laundry room is right next to the pool so you can swim and wash at the same time
Next door is a Sizzler - great for stuffing your face before hitting the parks each day - as well as an Eckerd's and then opposite and over the road is an IHOP, Shoney's and a huge t-shirt type place and massive Walgreens.
The hotel restaurant is ok, although expensive for brekkie compared to Sizzlers, etc.
Would recommend it, no problem. Ooh, only another 8 days and I'll be there
