We are staying at the Sheraton Park next month. Looking at reviews on other sites I am hearing conflicting things. Some say the walk is only 5 minutes others say it is close to 20. It will just be me and my dd who is 4 for most of the time. Will I be overwhlemed everytime just trying to get there b/c of the walk? Is it a pretty safe walk like at night and all?? Just starting to stress a little over the walk....crazy I know!!! TIA!!!

we stayed there years ago, when it was still the West Coast Hotel. We had small kids at the time, I believe the youngest was 6. We had no problems walking it. It was tiresome at the END of the day, but still not too bad. I don't recall how many minutes it took us, but I know it wasn't too bad, I would have remembered that! If you are worried, take a lightweight umbrella stroller to use. The ones at the park for rent are quite expensive. Even if you buy a cheapie while in Anaheim, and leave it there when you go home, you will save money over the rental. Plus, you can use it outside the parks. I would splurge a LITTLE and get one with a sunshade/hood!

I was wondering the same thing...Google Maps shows it as 1.2 miles and a 23 minute walk through DTD. Can anyone help out with any shortcuts (e.g., through parking lots, etc...)???

I will be staying there in a few weeks. I had no idea it was that far away! :scared1:

No need to go through DTD...just walk out the front of the hotel, turn left and walk down Harbor to the main entrance....piece of cake, though seems much longer at the end of the day!

It is not that bad of a walk. We've actually stayed here 3 times in the last year b/c we use our starwood points. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to the maingate. We use a stroller for our kids, but our 4 year old usually walks on the way there and hops in the stroller on the way home. The area is well lit and always felt safe to me b/c it's on a main street.

We are thinking of staying there. Does anyone know if the Anaheim shuttle goes there? Thanks!

There is an ART station in the driveway of the hotel, with its own ticket machine! The shuttle picks up at the Park Shereton, swings a rt onto Harbor, does a quick scoot rt at the corner to make a stop and then gets back on Harbor for one more quick stop before landing at the Happy Place...:cool1: Its nice being the 1st pickup..no trouble getting a seat in the morning.
