While waiting for a supposed shuttle last year for "the worst hotel" we've ever stayed, my DH and I noticed the shuttle for the Sheraton Anaheim Hotel run continuously. The staff was friendly and helpful. Amazing that sometimes its the little things you take for granted but when we finally did get back to "the worst hotel" room we've ever had, my husband announced that from this point on we were staying in that Sheraton no matter what!!!
Usually we stay at either the Best Western or Fairfield Inn and can walk right on over. Last year was the first time we tried "the worst hotel" ever because they boasted of the shuttle service. It turned out to be a nightmare. Don't get me wrong, as soon as we set foot on DL property, we were transformed but the magic was stolen every night...
Ok, enough, I know. Reallly, I am just wondering about other's opinions on the Sheraton.
Thanks!!! :cloud9:

We just returned from Disneyland and stayed at the Anaheim Park Sheraton. It sits on the corner of Ball Road and Disneyland Drive. There is another Sheraton down by the convention center so just trying to avoid confusion.

We loved it.

The shuttle was great. The room was huge. The beds were comfortable. The pool was heated. The walk to Downtown Disney was easy - we did it every morning for coffee and beignets.:thumbsup2

Hope this helps. I booked a room through Get Away Today - the property beats the ones we have stayed at most recently on Harbor Blvd. for about the same amount of money. No shuttle. No pool. Uncomfortable beds.

We will definitely stay there again just for the shuttle.

If we don't find a great rate at the onsite hotels, we typically stay at the Anaheim Sheraton, also sometimes referred to as the "castle" Sheraton due to its architectural style. The other Sheraton on Harbor is known as the Park Sheraton and it does not have a dedicated shuttle.

We find the Sheraton to be very comfortable. We have elite status with Starwood Preferred Guest, so the Sheraton generally treats us well. There is a quick serve deli for a fast bagel and coffee for breakfast. As already noted, the rooms are large, but the bathrooms are small. Ask for an inside room to avoid possible traffic or parking lot noise.

I have noticed that rates seem to be somewhat higher this year, even with a AAA or AARP discount.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

We just got back from the Sheraton Park. The rooms were very nice. You had to use the ART shuttle. I wasn't impressed with them this trip.

We just stayed at The Sheraton Anaheim last month. Yes, the one that looks like a castle! It was my first time there. It was wonderful.:) We stayed on the groundlevel with the pool area right outside our room but it was a bit chilly to use!;) The breakfast buffet is AWESOME!! Also was not overrun by kids either. It is a little more pricey than some of the others on the strip but the service and hospitality are excellent. The free shuttle runs every 30 mins too and from DL!:) I am trying to plan our next trip there and will stay here again unless we actually stay in one of the 3 DL ones?
