Hi! I'm staying at the Sheraton Ahaheim in June for a week( it's for free :cool1: ) so, I was wondering if anyone stay there? Were you happy with hotel? How is the shuttle? What area should I try and request a room for, by the pool? Did you buy your DL tickets thru them? Thanks! Donna

I stayed there two years ago (for free, too) and are staying again next week. I was very happy with the hotel. The rooms are huge, which is nice for families. The shuttle was great- I think it ran every half hour. The best part is that it does not make any other stops- just runs between the hotel and DL. We had rooms that opened up into the pool area when I was there last, and it was nice. I'm not sure I care this time, since I'm not sure we'll be able to swim with the weather. We bought our tickets there two years ago, but got a better deal elsewhere this time. The concierge can sell you any tickets you want there in the lobby.

Thanks Dinainca! I'm glad you were happy with the hotel and shuttle! I was getting a little nervous with no reply! We are going June 20th- 27th, I hope the hotel is not to crowded then and maybe we can get a pool area room. I can't wait to go! This will be are first time going to DL::) When we are there my daughter will be celebrating her birthday, she is so excited! Can you please tell me where you purchase your tickets this time? Thanks again. Donna

I hope you like teenagers. The national convention of the Future Business Leaders of America will be holding their national convention June 24-28. About 8000 high school kids, advisors, support staff, and vendors from around the world (yes world) will be in most of the hotels around the DL area. Expect them in the parks quite a bit. I am one of the nervous advisors that will be there. Before the high school students show up the college division is their from the 20-23, then some of the high school students show up for the Institute for Leaders. I posted this on this forum about a month ago. here is the flyer and note the the oficial hotels we are staying in the Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, and DoubleTree Guest Suites. Others stay in the surronding hotels for one reason or another.

Not to hijack the thread, but...since you're in convention mode, too-this is one of the 'official' hotels offered for a convention I'm attending in April but can't decide whether to stay here or not-we can't tell how close it is to the convention center. Do you know if it's within walking distance? I read 1 thing that said it's a mile away and 1 that said it's adjacent to the convention center...we won't have cars and don't want to get stranded...

Just another thumbs up for the Anaheim Sheraton.:thumbsup2

We are Starwood and stay for free when I cannot afford on-site. They have very large rooms and beautiful grounds. I love the shuttle as it is free and in our experience - always on time. And the drivers are very friendly.

We also love the morning buffet. Yummy, quick and not too expensive. Their mini mart has good food, too. Parking is plentiful and easy.

Have a great trip.:)

We're staying at the Sheraton in April. I'm glad everyone has been happy with it. I've always stayed on site. But I have Starwood points so we're staying two nights for free and the other two at a discounted rate.

I'm wondering if there's good coffee in the hotel or nearby? Got have my joe before we hit the parks!

Another vote I LOVE the rooms there 500 sq ft. We are Starwood members too and I like getting the points and they are always cheaper than any of the Disney deals including AP rates.
I don't technically have to stay since we live 2 hours away but I usually do stay over night anyway.

Do any of you know how far the Sheraton is from the new Garden Walk? I got a McCormick and Schmicks gift card for Christmas that I'd like to use.
