Shellie May...will she ever make it to the USA?

I don't know about anyone else, but I've been anxiously awaiting Shellie May's arrival in the United States since she was released after Duffy in Japan in 2010.

I keep hearing rumors that Shellie May will be released eventually...the most current thing I've heard is the next 2 years.

Has anyone heard anything about Shellie May? I really hate that Disney won't ship her from Japan, and she's usually upwards of $70 on eBay...yikes!

I'd like to know as well. I would love to have Shellie May, but don't want to pay the E-bay prices - yikes! Even the outfits for her are outrageously priced on E-bay.

I'm also hoping with the Downtown Disney aka Disney Springs expansion, that they add a Build a Bear like they have at Disneyland in California. They have many Disney related clothes, etc. I bought the pink/white polka dot Minnie Mouse at the Build a Bear in the Florida Mall. They had quite a few Disney things, but I would like to see a Build a Bear on Disney's own property. I'm not a fan of Build a Dino - I've never even seen any Disney related items in there.

If you buy from ebay, you need to be very careful because alot of them are not real Shellie Maes.

There is a person(I think American) who currently lives in Japan near Tokoyo Sea that purchases Duffy/Shellie Mae stuff and ships it to you.

I just did that because I wanted a Shellie for DD so badly. My Shellie Mae arrived from Japan FASTER than a letter that I mailed from NC to MI
Transaction went smoothly and now Shellie will be in her Easter Basket.

Contrary to what a lot of internet posts would have you believe, Duffy is very popular in the U.S. I think Disney would wait for interest in Duffy to wane and then reinvigorate it by introducing Shellie May.
