Anyone ever used the milk that doesn't need refrigerated and what did you think of it? We will be driving down for days by car so frozen milk won't really work for us. We won't need much (just cereal) and it will be hot Aug. (I assume these have already sat in hot warehouses and ridden on hot trucks). I would like to throw a couple on ice each night before bed. I will try them out before the trip but want to know what you all thought of them before I even attempt that. Would it take a really strong flavored cereal to mask their taste difference?

:laundy:

I myself haven't tried it, but my picky 3 year old drinks it with no complaints. I keep a couple of boxes (I think they're called "lil milks" and they come in whole, skim and chocolate) in his backpack for when we are out and about.

We drink this all the time, since we live overseas. It tastes very similar to regular milk, and with cereal you shouldn't even notice a difference. Once it's opened it lasts only as long as milk from the dairy case. In August, say a couple of hours.

Hope that helps.

We have used them. Parmalat was the brand name I think. Use to take them tent camping alot. They should be just fine for cereal. I didn't mind using them to drink myself.

If you have a B.J.'s near you, they have shelf stable organic milk in drink boxes. They're flavored (vanilla or chocolate) and my kids take them to school every day. I've never tried one, but they love them.
