Shelf life

I have a jar of artichoke and merlot sauce that is about 3 years old. Whadda think? It's still sealed. I can't find the stuff in the stores anymore. Thats why Iam risking botulism

I don't know about botulism as it's in a jar. But, I just don't think the chemical composition of an artichoke lasts 3 years. The wine part would be fine, as wine gets better with age. But artichokes?

Three yrs is too long for a jarred sauce. I would toss it.
