I see that Sheikra is finally open to the public  , can't wait to get on this bad boy, 200 foot drop? Awesome!

Anyone planning on visiting Busch Gardens anytime soon, as I need some feedback to quench my rollercoasting thirst! :teeth:

Why did I book September and not June???

I plan on riding Sheikra when we go to Busch Gardens but that isn't until December!! Until then I guess I will have to make the most out of my Alton Towers annual pass for my rollercoaster fix! Looking at Sheikra though sure does make Oblivion look tame!!

OMG!!

The vids and pics I've seen of this running look amazing!! They'll need to a crowbar to get my out of that thing once I get in it!! I'm there on 9 June and can't wait - if anyone is back before then and has had a go on this monster please let us have your thoughts.

Were going out on the 10th of june so DH and FIL will be giving this one a try when we go to Busch Gardens in our 3rd week :cheer2: As for myself i will be watching :goodvibes

I suppose it means less people in the q if it scares folk - all good!! The days are really dragging at the mo aren't they?! I know that this time in two weeks I'll be back on my beloved Kraken all day!! (fingers crossed!)

The wait time in the queue for this ride is around 4 hours... :sad2:

Just read a review of the ride though and it sounds AWESOME!!! :bounce:  :bounce:

Please No!!!! I take it I'll have to hit it first thing then! I was unsure to head for this or Rhino Rally as I know the q's for this can be bad. At least if there is a 4 hour q for it, it will mean less people elsewhere! It's a glass half-full day!

There's a big interest in this ride as it's just opened, I'm sure if you get there early enough you'll be able to hit this ride without waiting. Out of interest, are you staying in the i-drive area? If so, what time do you plan on getting to BG? Just interested in what time you'll be setting off and what the crowds are like 'early doors'.

I am staying on I-Drive when I go to BG - I'm heading there on 9 June and the park is set to open at 9:30 so I'd like to be there for 9ish. I suspect I'll leave at about 7.15/7.30 and hope to get a clear run - it should hopefully be okay.

From my last visit in 2003 it was fine at opening - I went straight to Rhino Rally and was glad I did - the thing is so slow at loading it would have been a nightmare later in the day. It is a big park and can absorb numbers for a good part of the morning. For the majority of thrill rides (which is what I'll be hitting first, you should be able to get around them all - perhaps Sheikra aside - without more than a 5/10 minute wait. All depends on your priorities and when you are going. Avoid weekends if you can as the local AP holders will be out in force.

Cheers Nick, never been to BG before so I'll be making my first visit. Have chosen not to drive this time so I am considering my options as regards getting there early. Which of the coasters should I hit first, will probably hit Sheikra first - which are the other coasters I should visit next?

I would go for Rhino Rally - not a coaster but the lines can be awful. For the other biggies - Gwazi, Montu and Kumba, you should find the wait isn't too bad early on. Off those, most people probably head for Montu.

When is it you go?

Good question about single rider - does anyone know?

Off in September, but just got my leave authorised from work so it all seems a little closer now - four weeks off work - how will I survive?

As for single riders, Sheikra is a liitle different from others in so much as there are three rows of eight I believe, so I would imagine single riders would be able to jump straight on to make up the numbers.

Four weeks - fab! I suspect you'll be right about Sheikra - I know as a single rider on Kraken you can get on without much bother. Let's hope it is the same for this - I'll need to try it in every row!

Can you get fast passes at BG???

From recollection (I was last there in 2003) I don't recall any such thing but to be honest you don't really need it here (as least that's my opinion of it). It is a big park but manageable in a day.
