Sheets question

I used to use a top sheet, and then I got married.

The DH doesn't and won't even let one on the bed. He's 6' 5 and so his feet are always close to the very end of the bed. It's a comfort for his feet kind of issue.

I'm a top sheet hater, too! I think they are too cold, stiff, and scratchy. I only like a soft cuddly comforter against my skin. Been that way since I was a small child, as has my sis. Mom thinks we're crazy.

I don't wash my comforter all that often, either.

Guess I'm just dirty.

Same in our house. No one uses a top sheet. When DH & I met, we knew our marriage would last forever because we had never met anyone else who didn't use a top sheet. Ahh..a match made in heaven. Nice pick up line...."do you use a top sheet", "No", "Me neither, want to get married"

Anyhow we're even dirtier than you marquis - our dog sleeps between us UNDER the blanket. If we had a top sheet, he'd probably get strangled.

We always use the top sheet and bottom. I have a comforter on top as well, but any chance I get I put more blankets. I just love the cozy feeling of having fluffy blankets. Unfortunately, I have to listen to my husband whine about how he's too hot!

I have to have my top & bottom sheets. Also, I love it at hotel stays when they use 3 sheets!!!

I love this! I even do this at Disney in the DVC villas. I just use the extra sheet in the closet.

Wow, I've just never even considered the possibility that anyone didn't use a top sheep. Maybe I'll try it! I really like my sheets though. I'm all into the "thread count", nothing less than 500 for me! So without a top sheet, I'ld have to have something else equally soft next to me. Both my dogs sleep under the cover too, so I'm not sure they would like the no top sheet thing. Heck, now I've talked myself out of it. I really don't do change very well anyway.

I have a question, do you say "I sleep under my cover."...or "I sleep under my covers."

Always a top sheet, always 100% cotton, with a blanket or quilt on top depending on the season.

I cringe if I do not use a top sheet. However both my teens refuse to use them...

they like just the blanket.

They both had a top sheet until they both decided not to use it..

We use the 3 sheet set up. Bottom fitted, top sheet, light cotton blanket (like what you swath a baby with) and then a sheet on top of that. We also have a light comforter, which only I usually sleep with.

A top sheet actually keeps you warmer. It traps body heat better than blankets.

I also change the sheets every 3rd day, so it makes for lots o' laundry.

I used to always kick off my top sheet as a kid for some reason while sleeping. Once I got into college and got different sheets I stopped doing it and now can't sleep w/o. Personally I wouldn't want to go w/o since it is so much easier to wash sheets than comforters. On our bed we have fitted sheet, top sheet and then on my side two throws and the a comforter on our whole bed. I like thick and heavy blankets so I always have a throw that my DH doesn't have since he doesn't like a lot of blankets on top of him.

I use bottom sheet, top sheet and summer weight duvet right now. In fall and winter it will be bottom sheet, top sheet, down blanket and quilt.

All bedding is washed every week.

I have to have a top sheet, always. Even if it's a million degrees, I like to have some kind of cover. Right now, I just have a sheet and quilt on the bed; in the winter, I toss in a blanket and I'm good to go.

I hate top sheets...unless I am at a hotel I agree with the OP on that.
Blankets are more comfortable and more...snuggly as the the OP put it!
