Shearton Vistana Time share tour

Anyone done this one? How bad is it?

I have a invitation for a three night stay for $179 plus a gift of either 8,000 Starwood points or $100 gift certificate. I KNOW I don't want the timeshare, (I own DVC), but this looks nice and the price is kind of right.

Well, the Vistana is definitely worth staying at, and if you can get that price for taking the tour then it is probably worth it. I've gone on the tour. It's definitely not nearly as low pressure as DVC; in fact the lady that gave us our first tour was downright nasty. But the second time around, my mom and stepdad were able to get it across immediately that they were not interested in anything but the money for taking the tour (we were already staying, the tour wasn't part of a deal like yours would be), and they were out in half an hour. It probably depends a lot on the person you get. The Vistana is gorgeous, and a great place to stay. So going and taking the tour shouldn't be too bad, if you are able to make it known immediately when you get in there that you are NOT interested.

Vistana can be high pressure for some (depends on the salesperson). However, this is truly a lovely resort in a nice location. If the price is right and you are looking for a great stay outside of Disney, I'd go for it!

Timing is actually an issue. I am just not sure I have time to go during the period they are offering.

We did the tour and they were really pushy and then annoyed when we said we weren't show what we wanted to do. In my opinion I will never do it again for a discount. Then again we are staying in a private house this year and hopefully it goes well and we will continue this way.

Well, I looked at thier dates and my schedule and decided this was not going to work. So I threw it away.
