of course I just added up our parking fees in BUF -- $81 --- good thing I saved some $$ on the room!

My new laptop case from Grandma

Uncle George gave me a certificate saying he is going to pay for ALL the textbooks I will need for the next 4 years! I couldn't believe it...I'm still in shock!

He also gave me a Snow White pen!

Alicia has no concept of time and never showed up.

Dad is just being his normal self, we're all used to it.

DH said he was going to work on cutting down a (large) tree
we have in our back yard

I thought it a bad idea when he said it

he got the ladder out
and took out about two twiggy branches
before he realized
it is too big a job for the average joe

So, we are just relaxing on the deck
instead of working
since we are currently kidless

every one needs picked up at four (same time, of course)


then DS is going to sleep over at his friend's house
and go golfing

perfect summer weather
not too hot, even though it is 81

This is a girl filled neighborhood
we just had a kid pool party
eight girls and one lone boy


the kids tried to gang up
and put DH and neighbor dad IN the pool
they had been in the hot tub and had suits on


but they couldn't do it, even ganging up

Now, if DS had been here.....
these girls are all DD13's size or younger
the boy that was here is 9

The party DS went to was at the "beach" in Snow talk
at a state park

there are actually several beach areas there
I had never been to this one on the North Shore
but I picked DS up so he could go to his next gig

all of a sudden, the boy has a life
