85 hours to go until the plane ride! I can't watch videos taken there any more, it makes me tear up with anticipation!

I also found out I have a concert for my brother (the "last" one of his high school career. Only he'll be taking a victory lap so it's really kinda, only, sorta the last) tomorrow night and my oldest friend has a show tonight too! Lucky me I'm all packed and ready to go with things to fill the hours.

Oh yeah, and a new intern to train tomorrow and Friday :rotfl:

Also way to speed response. Lightning you are!:cloud9:

So Chibi here, LGMH's are done (including 3 extra ones for the suitcases so Malkin will be able to spot the a bit easier), and I've successfully completed TWO performances at the high school. I've been posting a little bit about it and I'm really not supposed to post photos or videos, but whatever, the director gave me the go ahead to share what I do have with Dis. (After all the contract said we couldn't video tape PERFORMANCES, I video taped the dress rehearsal's).

I've been jumping around for the last 3 weeks since the Music Teacher was diagnosed with Brain cancer from the Pit Band to costuming, helping the director (his wife), today was a crash course in make up and hair for most of the kids. When everything seemed to crash and burn for these kids they really stepped up to the plate, its the sense of really close community (I know Malkin 'Cathloic prayer circle' ) that makes me miss high school and working in the arts.

Anyway! When they first decided that they wanted to do Beauty and the Beast they wanted to do something edgy and different. And so, we inject a "Burtonesqu" feeling into the musical. I have worked with the Goodwins since their first musical at the school (I was 9 at the time and being in a band and surrounded by high schoolers was TERRIFYING), and this has got to be the most asthetically pleasing musical we've done. Tommy was flash and amazing, Pirates of Penzance they build a pirate ship in 30 seconds on stage in their opener, but the use of black light effects in this? I am so happy that this will be how the Goodwins go out of their teaching career. (We Alumni refuse to believe they will retire from musical theater, mostly because we're planning to buy them a theater here in Orillia :D! )

I apologize for the bad quality photos and the sound, this was from Monday's dress rehearsal so half the band was missing and some of the chorus (and one of our knives didn't glow in the black light for some reason)

links will take you to the (short) videos :D please go easy on them, they're just kids after all.

OMG ONE MORE DAY UNTIL LION KING ON STAGE

You guys must be SOOOOO excited! How will you manage to breathe between the Lion King & the flight?

Hmm your feedback on the online check in has me a littl esorry that AI did online check in now, sort of. see I have this deep dark dream that we will get there and the CM at the desk will be so blown away by our very cool "Joe's Magical Birthday Vacation" mickey shirts that she/he will want to magically upgrade us to a club level room. :cloud9: I know what are the odds? but maybe i cut the odds even more by doing early check in? o hwell! live an dlearn!!! we didn't make any special request during checkin because we want to see what comes even though we loved the ground level room last time.

9 days and we will know!

What is this breathing you speak of? lol

We're pretty certain the only sane one of the 5 is Megpie. Tux's brain has been in a holding pattern above Florida for a few weeks now. Malkin and myself break down into tears when we hear disney music now, and Jayuna exploded again when she was informed that we have now hit Day "Snow White" and after tomorrow we have run out of animated features to use.

Eeek you are going sooo soon. I have just caught up with your PTR (again) and I love it :goodvibes

I loved Rapunzel's wig... it was amazing... and that photo with it in...wow :thumbsup2

I bet you are all soooooo excited... I am and mine is ages away yet. I love the Lime Mickeys... hopefully someone will spot them and say hi.

Sooooooo excited for you guys!! :dance3: I can't wait to hear your trip when you guys get back!!! Have a wonderfully magic time! :wizard:

LOL so glad that I am not the only one that gets teary eyed when I think of getting off the plane and onto the Magical Express:wizard: I just can't wait and I have a full week + 1 day to go. :dance3:

Surely you cannot be out of animated features! Or perhaps its time to move on to the "live action" venue??

Don't worry everyone, we'll be back shortly with at TR! And 1000000000 photos.

Snow White was the first animated Disney feature in Canon (they only count feature length under the Disney banner) so we are indeed done. Tomorrow is Lion King (on Broadway) Day anyways and I have two special pictures lined up for Saturday and Sunday (to be uploaded on Saturday night in the hotel in Buffalo) onto our FB event where we've been keeping track!

Now I just have to stop hyperventalating enough to get through the next two work days (I am the only one working out of the 5 all this week) and we should be good. Should be.

AWAY WE GO!!!

On a side note: None of us can comprehend the Magical Express enough yet. we know its there...but getting on it is such a strange notion.

So surreal! The countdown on my phone currently says 1 day... my mind isn't really comprehending it and every once in awhile I catch some glitter coming out of my ears XD When the countdown started at... 120 days-ish to see it at 1 is insane! I'm so ridiculously excited I sometimes can't stop giggling!!

Hey guys, have a GREAT time at Lion King (saw it at the Princess of Wales so so many years ago) and have a great time at the House of Mouse. We want to see many photos. Say "hi" to Harry Potter's world for me (someday I'll go.)

I'm not going to be at AN so I expect to hear great stories here and at Polaris, okie dokie?

I wanted to wish you a Magical time! I prayed for all of you this morning that you would have an awesome and safe trip. That you would have a wonderful time and make many memories with such good friends. I can't wait to about your adventures so make some good ones.

Thanks everyone, I'm currently rushing around trying to figure out everything I need. We may not leave for Buffalo until tomorrow but its about an hour and a half from where Tux and I live to where Malkin, Jayuna, and Megpie live....so I REALLY don't want to forget anything.

I'm sure at some point tonight or tomorrow Malkin will have time to do our last PTR post before we hit the plane. OH GOD AFTER A YEAR ITS FINALLY HERE!!!

PxlBarrel; I KNOW I'M SO SAD! T___T

Well since I woke up at 6:30am (without any alarm aides or anything, why can't I do that during the work week) and haven't been able to go back to sleep, I will indeed post our final post.

Lion King, first of was FANTASTIC. If anyone is looking for a clever way to start your Disney vacations, I highly recommend randomly coinciding with a large touring cast of a Disney Broadway show. It's all the wonder of Disney and a fabulous distraction from a disappearing countdown! The costumes were beautiful, and we all kept poking each other, wanting them. I'm a puppet girl myself so being able to see how they manipulate the full body puppets was awesome!

When Chibi had the idea, there weren't many seats left where all of us could sit together, but she managed to find 5 stage right seats right at the front of the balcony. While it was a little disconcerting to be that high up and that close to the edge, it was the best vantage point ever. During the opening for the second act, we even had one of the singers standing right beside us with his bird puppet. You could easily see everything go on onstage and in the audience as well.

If you get to see the tour cast, the Zazu, Rafiki and Scar are AWESOME and the other actors are equally outstanding. The Hyenas were delightful and I have to say, Be Prepared remains my favorite song, although I honestly like Circle of Life in the musical more than I like it in the movie.

After it ended (two curtain calls and a very long and well deserved standing ovation) we headed back to my place and decided how today is going to work.

As it stands now we're off at 9am from my place (where Chibi, Tux and I are) with my brother to get the Maki from Megpie's house and eat breakfast at our favorite diner (both Megpie's house and the diner conveniently located within 10 minutes of my house). Then my brother will head back home and Tux will take the girls to our waxing session. Then he'll bring his car back to my place where he's leaving it for the week and head out with my father and brother to get the rental car. Fingers crossed he'll also be able to pack up all the stuff that's here and then swing back to get us. Then we'll swing back to Megpie's, pick up the Maki luggage and be on our way to Buffalo by 2pm. We have a few minor errands there, before dinner at TGIF and a very early night, but I'm sure you'll see all of that in the TR report.

Thank you to everyone who's followed us on here and given us tips and encouragement. It really did help to make the countdown shorter and I really love what the DIS has offered in advice.

We'll see you on the flip side and:

HAVE A DISNEY DAY!
