Sharpay costume - sizing and where???

DD7 is insisting she only wants to be Sharpay for halloween. I have found a couple sites online and of course ebay has availiblity. However I'm not sure on sizing. the description says a small is 25-26 inch waist and 44-48 inches height. That seems big for a small? It also recommends ages 4-6. My DD is short but not all that petite. Her waist does message 25 and her height is 46.

Does anyone know if these run big? Since I can't return it i'm nervous.

Do you have a "Party City" near you? They have a bunch of HSM Costumes (bought DD the cheerleading one). They might have the Sharpay costume in stock.

I found the Sharpay last week at the local party store. The target here also had a spot for it but I never saw it in stock. The costume runs small. My dd who wears a size 7 is wearing a medium (8-10) in the costume, she has enough room to wear a shirt under it for trick or treating.

We found the dress that was worn in the"Bop to you Drop" song(not for sure that's the name of the song) at Target. DD7 is a size 6x, she is long and skinny the dress is a medium. It is too big around the chest, we will have to adjust it. I'm looking for the head set if anyone knows of one.

We just bought one at KMART. It is the Blue dress she wears in the "Bop til you drop' song. My daughter was thrilled. She is 8, wears an 8, tall/thin, the dress was a medium and it fits pretty good.

We went to a second hand store today and found blue (almost perfect color) strap sandles. (just a little heel) I was also wondering where to find a headpiece. Libby Lu?

I looked at the HSM yearbook my daughter has and the head piece has blue rhinestones on it... so I told DD that I would just probably make one. Husband has sturdy bendable wiring and I will glue blue rhinestones to it with maybe a styrofoam 'head' on it covered in the stones.

Duh, My oldest wants to be hre and we have been planning on what she would wear. I NEVER thought they would have costumes of "her" for sale. Thanks for the ideas...
