We really liked this restaurant! The atmosphere alone is worth a visit. The food was very good, and they have a really tasty drink called a 'Key Lime Kiss'. We will definitely be returning!

Glad you enjoyed the restaurant! We are thinking of eating there while at Sea World. Is it a good idea to make priority seating for Sharks or can you walk in and be seated right away?

We made our reservations early that morning as we walked by the restaurant. They were booked up so we got a 'standby' reservation I believe they called it. We went to the bar and ordered drinks and by that time our table was ready. I must say the place did not seem to be very busy. I think most people do the 'cafeteria line' restaurants at SW. I personally prefer table service.

Hope you enjoy the place as much as we did!

I tried to call in advance for ressies, and I was told they do not take res until you are there in person. I was told to make it my first stop when we arrived at Sea World and let them know at that time when we would like to eat. I hope it works out!!

I really want to try Sharks this trip, too - thanks for the information about the ressies - I'll make a beeline for the restaurant when we get to the park! :thumbsup2

Sharks only takes reservations from 10 to 11 each morning after which they change to walk up (give your name and they tell you how long the wait is). Yes, you do have to be there in person.

Silver, Gold or Platinum AP holders can make reservations in advance via telephone.

Does anyone have a link where I can get more information about this restaurant? If its on the Sea World Website forgive me! I'm at work and only had time for this quick post.

Thanks! :surfweb:

This restaurant is excellent. It was one of the best meals we had last trip. The rare tuna was delicious, and the waitstaff was very attentive to our two children. The portions are large, so if you are small meal eaters, like me and DSis, I would recommend splitting an entree. The restaurant had no problem with this.

We didn't have any trouble making our reservation upon arrival, but the park wasn't that crowded and we ate there for lunch.

Thank you! That place looks great. Are the prices more in the $$-$$$ or $$$-$$$$ range? How does it compare to say Hard Rock or Margaritaville?

entree's average around $20.00. the last time we were there it was a $70.00 lunch for the three of us.

It is a bit more expensive than your normal theme park dining TS, but I found it to be well worth it.

As far as comparing it to the Hard Rock or Margaritaville, do you mean price-wise or food-wise? It would be a bit more expensive than either, and the food would be more similar to the signature/fancier restaurants at Disney.

Is this place the same exact atmosphere as Coral Reef in Epcot???????

Thanks!

Hi
thanks for the info. Do you actually have to book at the restuarant or can you do it at the fornt as you walk in ?
Ruth

You cannot book the Shark's Grill at the tour counter unless you're a season pass holder. In that case you could have them call Shark's for you and leave your personal phone # (cell/mobile) and Shark's staff will call you back to make your reservation.

dont forget to check out the bar, even if you dont drink it is really cool. the whole top of the bar is a saltwater fish tank.

I was about to ask the same question, about shark encounter and coral reef.
