Shark Week!

I remember watching Shark Week years ago with my parents, and I still like it. In the words of Tracy Jordan from 30 Rock, "Live every week like it's Shark Week!":thumbsup2

Me!! I am a huge fan. Sitting here watching it right now. Best week of the summer!

Tell the truth, 30 years later you still think of Jaws when you enter the ocean.... I know I frequently do. :lmao:

OMG, I'm obsessed with Shark Week - I got the 20th Anniversary boxed set for Christmas from my children. I thought the reenactment of the 1916 story was a bit lame last night, and I've seen the Air Jaws before - but I liked the reenactments of the actual attacks tonight!!!! And I love those great whites eating the blubber off the whale and that guy perched up there like the last piece of the watermelon sculpture on a buffet table - you just know the shark wants to reach up and take a nip...

I never understand why Shark Week is in the middle of the summer. I think I'd enjoy it more in the middle of the winter when I'm sitting toasty warm under a comforter, rather than seeing this just before I enter the Ocean.

Love Shark Week----beyond terrified of going in water because I think a shark will get me :lmao: but I never miss Shark Week! (I never go in any water except a pool)

Watched "Blood in the Water" last night--gives the movie "Jaws" a different skew when you realize that the attacks in 1916 may have been the motive behind the movie---the re-enactments were so scary but I loved it!:scared1:

I love Shark Week, always have! It usually falls right before my beach vacation, perfect timing! Not going to the beach this year so can watch Shark Week with no ramifications! I missed the show about the 1916 attacks but have seen one before, wondering if it is the same show? I did watch a show yesterday afternoon about the sharks around the U.S. coast and liked that a lot. Saw a Greenland Shark poking around a submersible, wow that thing was huge!

I look forward to it every year. I would love to visit the waters off of Seal Island in South Africa.

The episode last night was incredible, how the great whites attacked the seal decoys.

We love Shark Week in my house. We lost power in our neighborhood last night. I can't believe we missed out last night. I'm sure they will do a marathon of all of the new shows on Saturday though.

I watch every year.
This year,I am doing a excursion in Nassau Bahamas and snorkel with Stuart Cove's dive operation. :thumbsup2
