On the infomercial and at the shark website you can get the Shark Steam Pocket Mop with extra mop head and extra pads (it includes the XL mop head and 8 pads) for $144.95. Is this the best deal for a set with the extras? I would prefer to buy it at a brick and mortar store (or even online at a site that also has brick and mortar stores) in case there is a quality issue and I need to return it. I thought I had read Sams or Costco had the bigger bundle (I don't belong to either) but I looked online and Costco doesn't have it at all and Sams only has the regular set.

I just looked at it again, and I really wouldn't use the two fluffy purple pads, so I am most interested in a set that does come with the XL head and extra regular pads...

Thanks in advance for your help!

I would go to Kohls.com and use the 30% off code. Not sure what the extras are but I would at least price it before I bought anywhere else. If there is not a 30 % code now there will be one soon.

Costco has it & there is a $15.00 off coupon on it this month. I just haven't gotten there since I got the coupons to see how much it is.

At Costco it is $94.95 *before* the coupon. I bought it before the coupon thinking it was a good deal, now I kick myself. they only price adjust with my reciept, not just looking up my membership. Boo for me, but still a good deal :thumbsup2

Its not online at costco.com. Can I shop at the store if I am not a member, and how would I get the coupon?

Thanks again!

I got mine at Kohls for just over $100.00 using the 30% off, I didn't get 8 pads only 2, the purple duster, large head, triangle head and the carper glider. I won't use the large or triangle head and the duster either. I did use the carpet glider a few times.

Has anyone used it on ceramic tile? I have textured porcelain tile in my kitchen. Not sure how well it will clean that. How does it do with grout.

As far as grout, I wouldn't bother. I borrowed our neighbors' Shark before I bought it at Costco. Part of our bathroom grout is terrible, but it did absolutely nothing to clean it. It did as good a job on the actual tile as the Swiffer Wet Jet, IMO.

I didn't try it on our hardwood floors, but I am curious if others find it works better on hardwood than the Swiffer Wet Jet.

I would have to disagree. We have mostly tile in our downstairs. It's a pain in the butt to clean and keep clean. I had been using a swiffer and pretty much just gave up. We have 2 dogs who track in, too, so there's the area right by the back door that was filthy all the time. i got my shark a few weeks ago and it has worked wonders.... not perfect and no, doesn't do a whole lot on the grout itself... but it sure as heck gets the tile clean, much cleaner than the swiffer, IMHO. i love my shark... and the costco deal at $95 is good and even better with the $15 off. it's also great that you don't have to keep buying cleaning solution or pads... you just wash the pads in the washer and use nothing but good ol' h20... :thumbsup2

Does the costco one have the 3 different heads?

The Costco one is the "Euro Pro" gold canister (vs purple canister) It comes with the 3 heads (triangle, regular, XL) pads for each, plus purple duster and carpet refresher, and xtra long cord.

Great on the tile, yay for no more cleaners! Won't do much with grout, but I suggest, if it's bad, and all the usual trys don't work (a new one I've heard of is whitening toothpaste... what the heck, give it a shot...) is to go ahead and get it professionally cleaned. I did it before Thanksgiving (about 50 cents a square foot) and it was good as new. Now with all the heavy duty, crap I couldn't get out, I have a clean slate to start over. And the shark is keeping it clean... at least not to the dusgusting point is was prior to Thanksgiving!

I'm gonna have to go get one of these!
