There are 6 adults, 1 child. 3 of us are on the DDP.

If we order 3 appetizers (which are allowed per the DDP) would they say anything if we share them with the table? They would of course order their own meals too but 3 appetizers is certainly enough to share amongst the 6 of us.

in 2005, my aunt uncle and cousins age 15 and 12 and the 15 yr olds friend were all on the DDP and my family was not. We kinda cheated at Le Cellier b/c the 15 yr old kids had to be on the adult menu yet liked the kids menu so my brother and I would order off of their adult menu and we would pay for their kids meals but when we didn't do that we did share their appetz. and no one ever said anything to us. When we went last May we got the dining plan this time and LOVED IT. We're hoping to get it again in Feb and get good ADRs

You can read the answer on the Disney page.

Q. Can I use my Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family members who are not included in my reservation and have not purchased this plan.
A. Sorry, you may not use your Disney Dining Plan to redeem meals for friends or family members who are not included in your reservation and have not purchased this plan

As long as your friends order their own meals, you should be fine.
