Is there anyone besides me that has this as a pet peeve? I fly in for vacation and back out with souvenirs, so suitcase weight matters now.
At home I have a permanent coffee filter. When I go to my Boardwalk, I have to buy coffee filters, because I bring my own coffee, as the gift pack in the room is really bad. It annoys me to no end to buy 100 filters and throw away 90. Obviously it isn't a money thing, or a weight thing... it is a wasteful thing.
To throw things away that you don't use and don't need to take back with you is so disappointing. Is there a way that we can share this stuff?
With left over sodas and water in bottles, I just leave them in the vending room. I figure some thirsty person will figure it out. But there are so many other things that you only might need one or two of... a cup of tide, a dryer sheet or two...
Originally I thought, oh gee, I'll leave it for the maid ...then I thought about how many people must be doing that too. How many bottles of beer can the poor dear drink before she can't show up for work the next day?
Why can't we find a way to share these things as a resort community?
Can we lobby the community room to set up a space or find another way to share? It bothers me so to throw away so many nonperishable things that the next person will most probably need.
