I received the 20% off code and we are planning on going in Sept. My sister and her family might be going too...could I make the reservation for my family and my sisters family and we all get the 20% off?
Absolutely give it a try. I had the 40% code (at least they told me when I called, as I never got anything telling me prior). I booked 2 rooms, which had to be two completely separate reservations (not sure why). One for us and one for daughter and family. THis was for Pop this August.
If you don't mind me asking, how exactly did you do that? Did you make the reservation under her name? Are you paying with the same credit card? Staying at the same resort? Sorry for all of the questions, I just want to be prepared for when I call.
i was told i could book up to 3 rooms with the 40% code. we have separate reservation numbers and paid for them with separate credit cards (but in the same phone call) and the postcard holders name is the lead name on only her room.
we are arriving the same day but don't have to stay for the same length of time.
We are staying at the same resort and checking in the sametime but I will be paying for mine and she will be paying for hers. We were only told we could get 2 rooms but our TA said if we need a 3rd reservation she'll try to get that with the code.
Okay I have a question...if you are able to book up to 3 rooms with each code, and I hate to say this BUT, why couldn't there be some way for those that got the codes to "share"? We are all "family" here on the DIS, right?
I may get in big trouble for even suggesting this so please forgive me if I have over stepped some DIS boundary? As I would never intentionally do anyting that is against the rules.
It probably could be done if u were going around the same time. When u get to book the 3 rooms the CM even told us u can book different resorts for the rooms as well.
I was also told I could book 3 more rooms. I was told that I would have to call to make the reservation and that our trip had to overlap at some point. I do not know what would stop people from sharing, but it would involve having to trust a stranger with your personal credit card info...sounds too dangerous to me.

From reading all the posts again I think it might be possible to "share" the code with someone without giving out CC info. An above poster stated that the CM told her to give the code to her sister so why would this not work for others? I hate to even suggest that people find a way to help each other out but with so many people not getting the codes and others having them and only using it for 1 room or not at all what would the harm be in sharing? Has anybody out there tried this with a friend? We had a grand gathering a few years back and I was the person in charge of our reservations. I made all the reservations and had the deposit confirmation sent to the other people. That way there was no need for an immediate deposit. I will say, I had to have their names, ages, and address so that would be the only personal info that one would have to give.
This is just a whacky thought but I would love to know if it would work and be okay?
Just "shared" a code with my sis last night. It requires the pin code holder to call, make all of the "reservations" and then my sis will call back with her credit card info. The CM told me that you can book up to 3 rooms with the code. Hope this helps someone!
