Thank you! The bunny (Lucas) is about 5 months old. He's a Netherland Dwarf and the most wonderful bunny I've ever met, so friendly... but then we handle him all the time. He and the kitty love to chase each other around too (it goes both ways), under supervision of course.

Does the bunny like the kitty?

(My Jack russell terrier is horrified of cats and small mammals so having other pets is out of the question for us. He's supposed to be a hunting dog. Go figure. )

What type of kitty is that??? She/He is very pretty. Thank goodness they get along with the bunny - ours likes to beat up dogs, attack the UPS delivery guy and then she was put on kitty prozac for cornering our 13 year old nephew for 3 hours in the bathroom .

Does you cat have Abysenian in him (think I spelled that wrong!).

The bunny is cute too! We have bunnies in our backyard. We live in front of some woods. I don't know that I would let my babies meet the bunnies though.

Clue is a pure breed Abyssinian and had her 2nd birthday June 4th. She and the bunny get along great, although we do have to tell her periodically - be gentle! - and she backs off. I had always wanted an Aby and my dream finally came true. She is soo special to us.

I always wanted a Bunny but my mom said they attract rats and now I am 28 and my hubby says my cats will kill it. Are these all lies?

Mine never attracted rats. A cat can grow used to anything.

Well, my cat has never been outside to develop her hunting instincts like catching birds and rodents. I did have an outdoor cat that was a hunter and I wouldn't have let him anywhere near the bunny. Since she's never really been exposed to hunting, she really just thinks of the bunny as another animal that's fun to play with. She very smart too and she knows when she's playing with him and we say "careful" and "gentle" to back off. I still wouldn't let them play alone together, just in case her natural "cat" instincts kick in.

Oh, and she licks and cleans him too. It's almost like a sybling or maternal relationship.
