I booked our trip for beginning 5/25 and out on 6/1 (7 days - don't count 6/1 because we fly out 6am). I have 1 day left on p/h passes from our trip in Dec. 2003 for each of the five of us in my family. So I'm thinking we'll get 6 day MYW base tickets, be disciplined and not park hop and use the remaining day from previous passes for a day we might want to hop.

Found out today from my hairdresser that she and her 3 kids will be driving to Orlando the day after we get back and want to spend only 1, maybe two days visiting WDW parks.

Is there any reason why I couldn't get 8 day MYW base tickets, use our 6 days out of them and give them to her when we return to use the last two days?? If we both split the cost per day evenly, I'll save $156 overall for our family and she'll visit the parks for 2 days for less than 1/2 of the cost if she were to purchase 2-day park passes for her family of 4.

From the 1st day we use the passes to when she would use them is within the 14 day cutoff.

Am I missing something in this scheme??

You can't with the biometric scanner system. You might get away with it if the kids are under 10, they don't have to use the scanner. But 10 and over will. They put in the biometric scanner system so that you can't do what you are planning since the days over 5 are so cheap (about $3 per day). Tickets are non-transferrable.

You could get away with giving her the 1 day old park hoppers, the scanners are not used on those.

Prepared to be flamed. ;)
I will start. :rotfl: j/k
Ticket media is not transferrable. I am sure you will read all about the knuckle scans very shortly! :rotfl:

YES, The passes are non-transferable. Your name is on the pass.

Disney is giving you the extra days for (basically) free FOR YOU TO USE not for you to sell or give away.

Disney scans your fingers everytime you use your pass to prevent guests from cheating. The honor system isn't enough to stop people from cheating.

OKay...never considered this "cheating" or I wouldn't have asked what issues might arise. I also wasn't aware the passes were encoded since the ones I've used before weren't. You can put away your torches now. Thanks.
