I have an AP. Some friends are there now and I would like to get their photos for them. I have read in the past that having friends on MDE that are not present can mess with getting a boarding group-is it better not to add them? They have a boarding group for today but are going to try again later this week. Can I add them after their HS days and still get those pictures?

Unless it changed from the last time I had MM (2018) No - it doesn’t “backtrack”

getting a boarding pass wasn’t a think then but there are plenty of people who get them now when now everyone is riding for a variety of reasons

Whether you are linked to them via F&F won’t matter one bit when it comes to their getting a BG. The system will skip you because you don’t have a ticket or park pass but select all of them who do. So to get the largest number of their photos, you should link to them ASAP.
