We are going to Disney from 7/12-7/20/03. I am wondering if the restaurants allow you to split meals with the the $30.50 Lunch vouchers. I am planning to go to the RFC at AK for one lunch, and possibly Le Cellier for another lunch. I have 4 adult vouchers, and 2 child vouchers. There are four of us, myself, my husband, and two daughters age 17 and 7. Would they allow myself and my older daughter to split my meal? I really would like to avoid buying more vouchers, and she decided to come along last minute.
Also what restaurants do you feel are the best bargain with the Q&C vouchers? Preferably one in each park. I know that Beaches and Cream or Pepper Market are good, but would like to use these in the parks also.
I have purchased 20 of these for our 8 day trip, and I'm hoping to avoid buying much food. We did book two character breakfasts, and the Fantasmic dinner package at Hollywood and Vine. We are eating breakfast in our room otherwise. Do you think I will need a lot more vouchers? I figure we may do a few fast food runs offsite or a pizza dinner.

I've not had a problem splitting meals with the Q&C or VKL vouchers. I think Disney understands that they give a lot of food per meal and people will split. It's not like you can take a doggie bag home.

As for the q&c vouchers in the parks, you should be able to save a buck or two at most of the counter service restaurants. The only place I lost money was at the Sunshine food court place in the Land at Epcot.

I think you'll have plenty of vouchers. If your anything like me, your not going to eat so much when it's hot out.

Here's the link to menus at the various eateries around WDW:

Since you have time before your trip you can check out the prices and see which places would give you more bang for your voucher buck.

P.S. I think you have plenty of vouchers for your trip.

We split the Magic Kingdom lunch vouchers at four meals in June; The Brown Derby, Teppanyaki, SciFi Dine-In, and Rainforest Cafe in AK. We are a family of four with 9 and 7 year old kids. We used two adult vouchers at each meal and split the food (the waitstaff at Teppanyaki and SciFi split it before serving us). The kids got to choose drinks and the adults drank water as we didn't want to have to deal with another receipt. We came out ahead on every meal as far as money is concerned...and we didn't even have room left for dessert at RFC. Let me know if you have questions. -HM

Bumping this bc. I, too, am interested in what people consider the best in-park bargain using the Q&C vouchers.:)

As for in park value, I have been noticing with my research that Epcot has the most places for that.

A few that have possibilities are:

Tangieriene Cafe
The Quick Service in Japan (is that Yakitori?)
Cantina de San Angel (those burritos sound HUGE!)

MK:

Cosmic Ray's
Columbia Harbor House
Pirate de ya Perico (I'm butchering that name.. I have heard that this restaurant closed, but it may have just been a seasonal thing)

AK:

Tusker House
Flame Tree

MGM:

Lets face it, theres not many food options at MGM. In fact, I am still looking for a good value at MGM.

THere are some that come close, but so far I haven't seen anything that impressed me at MGM.

As for resorts:

Mara (AKL) sounds good. We are going to time it so we can eat at Mara, and either hear the storytelling or the night vision on the safari.

B &C (obvious)

Pepper Market (obvious)

Roaring Forks (I am only including this one since we will be staying at WIlderness Lodge, so it will be convenient for us)

What if I use 2 adult vouchers and then pay for the 2 kids meals (instead of using vouchers).....since tax and tip is included in the vouchers, how does this work? Most likely I will need to pay for the tax on the kids meals but what about the tip? Confused.....

Thanks
Jodi

I would leave an additional tip for the kids meals. :D

We always leave a tip for anything extra we pay for(like kids' meals), and most of the time add even more so to tip extra on the vouchers.

Could you please tell me what y'all ate at the RF cafe with your vouchers. Did you happen to order the surf N Turf....and what did you get for dessert.

My DH and 2 DS love to get the volcano...but they always share it.

We are planning to eat there...and I am trying to decide how many vouchers I need to buy.

OK I am new what are vouchers? Are they for Vacation Club members or can anyone get them and if so how?
Please tell me soon. We are leaving in 13 days.
Thanks
