I can only share our experience this past week, which is, of course, subject to change and based on individual servers at individual restaurants. We had dd4 eat ds6's applesauce and a bite or 2 of dd8's chicken strips. DD4 never wanted more than that. After the first 2 days of pitching her meals regularly, when all she ever wanted was the applesauce, we stopped ordering meals for her completely. Also, dd13 and I shared several adult meals. This is what we do in all kinds of restaurants if we want dessert so we are used to it. If we wanted different dinners, we each ordered our own -- but if we both wanted the same thing, we ordered one dinner and shared. Still pitched lots of food or skipped dessert altogether.
We sccrambled to use TS and CS credits on the last day, but even bringing home bags full of donuts, chips, and bottled waters, we left 4 counter service and 2 table service credits completely unused. Some adult and some child.
I would hope WDW never cracks down on kids sharing kid meals or adults sharing adult meals. Don't really care if they crack down on kids sharing adult meals -- they will do what they have to and that is fine with me.
