Sharing meals at Narcoossees?

We've got early reservations for my family (dh, daughter(8), son(6), and myself) at Narcoossees and I was wondering if they will allow kids to share off parent's plates?? I'm planning on ordering the Surf/Turf lobster dish and suspect my husband will as well. Both of my kids love lobster and steak.

We are on the deluxe dining plan, so hubby and I will be getting an appetizer each, as well as surf/turf. But my kids don't eat a lot and I know there is no way that with all the food hubby and I will have, that the kids won't need to order kids' meals. Will they let us not order kids' meals and just let the kids share off our plates? Has anyone ever done this?

thanks in advance :)

What do you gain by saving the kids meals? You'll need to spend them at some point and if its at another TS you'll need to pay for at least one adult to eat with them? I don't think I've ever read that a family on the Deluxe plan didn't have enough credits or needed to share meals.

I say you are on vacation and the deluxe plan gives you plenty of food. Let the kids order their own meals. We took a 6yo and he ordered the kids pasta meal. He loved the food, service, etc. I also can't imagine that he would have wanted the food we adults had, very different tastes.

The portions aren't that large to share.....

True, it seems like the Signature restaurants have much smaller portions than the one credit restaurants. I know my mom ordered the shrimp appetizer at Narcoosee and it came with just three very small shrimp each sitting on maybe a teaspoon of slaw. My husband ordered the cheese plate for his appetizer and it came with three very small portions of cheese. The calamari I ordered was good sized though. The filet medallions were smaller than the palm of your hand and having substituted scallops for lobster, I got three quarter sized scallops.

Since you will have 4 more kids credits than adults after doing this, what would you do with those credits?

You can definitely share, last year DS12 and I shared, but supplemented. I wanted to save his 2 adult credits so we could both have another TS. We ordered the Surf/turf, and he ordered the kids mickey mac/cheese, I gave him the Turf part, as he isn't a lobster fan. He also ordered his own dessert. This was more than enough (and he's not a lightweight). I think we paid $17 oop (plus tip), and got to have two more adult TS credits, so for us it was worth it, but I'm not sure what you would gain saving kids TS.

In my family we have just DH, DS (6) and me. None of us are big eaters and we often order two entrees with appetizers and desserts to split among the three of us.

Nothing we have ever ordered at Narccossees, including surf and turf, has ever been large enough to split. The portions here are adequate, but not generous.

I would order the children their own meals at this restaurant.
