This will be our first time ever not having meal plan .... we have figured it out and being summer and not have large appetites when hot and we usually have 2 drinks per person and 2 snacks per person so meal plan really isnt savings. We did all the math UGGGHHHH.... anyway can you share at ts like 50's prime time etc. I know we can get away even cheaper if we can do some sharing at the 3 sit downs we are going to do.
Also does anyone know where you get case of water then we can freeze it and at least take one water in per day cheaper than buying it or any suggestions on that.. I cant drink florida water it is swamp water! yuck!
Also does anyone like plaza at MK?
or would you rather do Ohana or grand floridian cafe? for a SD?

You can definitely share meals at a la carte restaurants. I live in FL & drink our water all the time, & don't consider it swamp water. I've heard you can order cases of water from Garden Grocer though. Unfortunately, I don't have any other info on that, since we don't need the service.

We order our bottled water, milk, snacks, etc online from the Garden Grocer, and it's delivered to your resort. Love the GC!

Love the GFC!

We share meals *everywhere* - from the cheapest counter service place to the swankiest table service place, and it's way cheaper than the Disney Dining Plan. No server has ever batted an eye.

I stopped shipping bottled water to WDW a few years ago when we started carrying Bobble bottles with built-in filters (you can also get free ice water at any counter service place). However, when I did order water, I found the cheapest place was CostCo (but this was before the convention center resorts started charging you to receive packages).

I like The Plaza a lot. Great burgers, frosty shakes, and a nice air conditioned place to take a break.

I would think you could share meals at several places, I would just ask. A friend of mine who goes all the time always orders cases of water from Staples & has them shipped to her hotel. Brita also makes a filter for water bottles. Never tried it though.

Are you staying onsite? If you are, we've never had a fridge in our room that would freeze anything. I would recommend getting a Brita filtered water bottle. I don't like the taste of Florida water either, especially at MK, but using the Brita filters made it taste fine. We filled up from water fountains but we would stop and get a free cup of ice water whever we came across a place with fountain drinks that the line wasn't too long. Not having to pay for several drinks per person per day helps the budget. There is three of us and we shared one Brita bottle.

I would rather do Ohana over Grand Floridian Cafe, but that's me. At Ohana you can't share because it's served family style, so maybe Kona Cafe will be a better option if you are wanting to visit the Polynesian.

You can purchase gallons of water at any of the resort grocery shops....I think it's about $3/gallon. Or, if you're staying in the Boardwalk area, there's a Hess Station that has bottled water for "normal" prices.

If you have a car, pick up a case of water at the closest Hess station to your resort. I've even heard of folks taking a cab just for that purpose (usually picking up a 6pack of beer and some sodas as well.) I remember someone who took the bus to DTD, went across the street to make his purchases, then rode the bus back to the resort. This would definitely be the cheapest way to do it, but would also take FOREVER!

Garden Grocer or Wegoshop would be 2 sources for delivery to your resort. Given that there is a charge for the service, most people include other needed items as well- other beverages, breakfast and snack items etc.

And as others have mentioned, Costco and Staples will ship water to your resort. Some resorts will levy a charge for this (the ones that are convention centers).
