Ok, I'm aware that if you are at a buffet, that kids 3 and up must pay for a meal. I get it. But what about when you go to a regular TS place? I can't even believe I'm asking this question, but all my ressies say at the bottom that only kids under 3 can share off plates and all others must order meals. Not understanding that since it doesn't specify buffet only. We're paying OP and don't want to always order a full meal for our 3yr old cuz 9 times out of 10 she won't eat it! We planned on sharing with her sometimes which is also part of reason we didn't do DDP this trip.

In most cases, I don't think it will be a problem with a kid that young. It may depend on the server and the restaurant, but when my daughter was that young we didn't always get a meal for her.

Also, may I politely suggest using a smaller font in your messages? You're practically leaping off the screen...

Just tell them your three year old is a mature two year old. :confused3

Especially paying OOP, I don't think any waiter in their right mind who works for tips would even question this.

My husband and I share meals frequently and I'm definitely over 3. You will not have a problem.

It wasn't a problem for us. We would order what we wanted and ask for an extra plate for the kids if we didn't order a kids meal for them. I have two daughters, 18mo and a week shy of 4 when we went. Heck, half the time, DH and I would share!

There's absolutely no problem sharing anything at an a la carte menu restaurant, (aka non-buffet/"all you care to eat"), whether you're an adult or a child.

Heck, at California Grill, my friends and I will split an order of flatbread pizza and a sushi roll, often not even ordering an entree. Nobody at Disney is going to bat an eyelash if you want your kids to share your food.

As others have said, you would still need to pay per person at buffets, but you already expect that.

Yep, dd is 20 and she and I often split a meal at WDW TS restaurants. I've never had a server bat an eye--I just say we'd like to share and could we have an extra plate. Some places have even split the meal in half and placed it on both plates for us.

Same. We've never had a problem. Even between adults sharing. Granted we often all order at least one thing...an app or an entree....and share it all, but never a problem. In fact, we've had servers just bring us lots of extra plates!
