We are doing the DxDP for our girls first trip this summer, mostly b/c it's the only year we can remotely afford it!:rotfl: DD1 is 9, DD2 is 2, so anytime after this year we would have 3 adults and 1 child to pay for... So, since DD2 is free, can I just pour some of my drink into her sippy cup, and get a refill if I need one at TS, or do I have to order her a drink?

You would be fine to do this :) I mean the CM is not gonna know if you pour your drink in DD cup and then get more . In fact now that you said this I'm gonna do it for DS2 also on our upcoming trip . This would work great for TS but not to sure how it will work for CS since you don't typically get refills there . Hope this helps :)

Are you really going to want to drink the same thing as your toddler at your meals to save $2?

Possibly, depending on the offerings! Not sure what they usually are, just wondering if it was possible! Especially if it's something like raspberry lemonade!

I'm a caffeine junkie (hence my earlier question - there's nothing I drink with a meal other than water that I'd share with a toddler!!) so I've never thought about sharing drinks with the kiddos, but I don't imagine anyone would have a problem with it.

My DS was 2 last trip. I ordered him chocolate milk at each TS we went to. No one charged me for it. I was very excited, because I was expecting to pay $3 for it at each place. I couldn't tell him no to milk though :)

I wanted to agree with the PP that last summer on DxDDP by 2 year old was given a drink at every single TS (Buffets and Menus) and I was never charged! Even a bottomless milkshake at WCC!

Same here. When my DD (now 7) was 2, I had several CM's at TS restaurants offer to fill her sippy cup for me. No one ever charged me a penny. :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Same here - most places offered my DD2 a drink, and never charged me. (I was tickled pink about the free pasta and dessert at CRT for dinner! :cutie: )

the waiters thought I was always being a smarty pants but my dd always wanted Water ( weird kid, I know, tell her she can order whatever she wants and she orders water) and ds drank her pop.

Only once on my whole trip with dd2 charged for a meal. Everything I ordered for her, whether it was extra food or a drink was not charged to me. I didn't expect this at all-it was a great. And...I definently wouldn't count on that always happening, but it was a pleasant surprise.

We always order a drink for our 2 yo grand daugther. No sharing, yuck. She drinks non-dairy milk as she's latose intolerant or apple juice. I figured, if I can afford to pay for the delux dining for the rest of the family, I can certainly afford to pay for her meals and drinks OOP. Since she is latose intolerant, there is no sharing with her at all as she generally can't eat the same food as us. We pay for her 4 yo sister to be on the ddp so we have no problem paying for her meals too. Our next trip w/her (August) we listed her as 3 so that we could buy the ddp for her since she needs separate meals. OP, just order her drinks and be willing to pay the extra $2, and you may not always be charged. We find at buffets, she's never been charged for her drinks. You find most servers are very accommodating and eager to make your experience as pleasant as possible.
