Sharing Dining Credits and Splitting Bills

Hi,

My wife's parents are joining me, my wife and my 2 young kids (7 and 4) on a 7 night Disney World Trip this November. We did not get the Disney Dining Plan (used other sites to save money as we are not going during a time with free Dining Plan offerings). However, my wife's parents got the Deluxe Dining plan (42 TS Credits for the 7 nights). They want to share these Credits with us to take some of the financial burden off of us. I know this is perfectly acceptable to do as long as we eat together but we don't want to waste any of the Credits on the kids as they can just get food off the children's menus for much cheaper.

My question is this, will any restaurants on the Disney Dining plan give us issues with using 4 Deluxe Table Service Credits on the adults and paying out of pocket for the kids? It seems from my research that we shouldn't have any issues with regular restaurants, but what about buffets or any of the the character meals which seem to be all buffet-style?

Thanks for your help.

Ken

Nope. No problems at all.

Remember that to the restaurant, the dining plan is just another form of payment, like cash, credit, room charge, etc. Any restaurant is going to be just fine accepting multiple forms of payment for a single party.

Great, thank you!

Sounds like if we were smart and knew the grandparents were coming along, we would have been better off getting the Deluxe Dining Plan ourselves and then have them not get a dining plan and just reimburse us that way. Though that would have been a lot of food and sit-down meals.

Shocked that Disney doesn't differentiate between child and adult credits on the Deluxe.
