My family just booked our FIRST ever WDW trip for June 2007. We decided to add the DDP to our vacation package. We will have myself and wife, along with 10 yr old son & 6 yr old daughter. It seems thay my 10 yr old is considered an adult for DDP purposes, so I take it we will have 3 adult and one child TS meals per day. My question is about sharing adult TS meals. If we go to a TS restaurant can we just order 2 adult meals and share them between the 3 of us. It seems this will leave us more TS credits to use on a character breakfastor something else. Does this make sense and will they let you do this.

Also, what if we have adult TS meals left and have run out of Children TS meals? Do we pay for her meal separate? What do we do?

I am brand new to this forum and look forward to learning all the Disney tricks from you "experts".

Sharing food from the meals you've ordered is not a problem at all. The only problem is where you get into how you feed your young child, when on the Dining Plan. Disney relies on the integrity of their guests to comply with many of its rules, including the rule that prohibits use of child meal entitlements for adult meals. So the expectation is that if you're staying for seven nights, you should order seven TS meals and seven CS meals from the child menus, over the course of the week. Beyond that, the moderators have asked that we not discuss how you should go about complying with that rule, but rather direct your question to Disney Dining.

Any questions regarding the use of the plan that are not answered specifically in the WDW Dining Brochure cannot be accurately answered on these boards and should be addressed to WDW Dining. Interpretation of the rules has led to a tremendous amount of debate on these boards. To avoid further conflict, we will close any threads that ask for interpretation of the rules and encourage the poster to contact WDW Dining.

We've used the DDP twice now and our DD is 10. We had no problem sharing and it was a good plan for us since she could never eat an appetizer, entree & dessert - all adult sized by herself.

Thanks for the reply. I think that we will have to share, since my DW will never be able to eat all of that either. So having DS and DW share a meal will be great!!

We can't wait to take in the whole Disney experience!

We have 2 adult children and 2 disney children. OUr first meal, we did not share and when I saw how much food that the children could not finish we shared for the rest of the trip. For the six of us, depending on how hungry people were, we used 4 or 5 credits. We never had a problem and were able to get in an extra character breakfast. It was an excellent plan for us.

This is a question that WDW must answer, and what they may or may not allow you to do when you actually get there.
