Sharing a plate at Counter Service

Most of our group going in December to Universal Studios are very light eaters and have already said they would probably share many of their meals. Is it possible to ask for an extra plate when we order at a Counter Service?

We did at Thunder Falls Terrace in IOA.

We shared the chicken and Rib combo I think, and they happily gave us an extra plate.

We`re not light eaters normally.....we just wanted to make sure we were extra hungry for Margaritaville at night
