Sharing a meal.

Last year when we ate at Yak and Yeti the steak and shrimp meal was HUGE. Plenty for 2 to share imho. So my ? is do you think we can order a single meal to split?
There are 6 of us- so we would have another meal and 3 kids meals in there as well.

Does anyone share? And do they give you attitude about it?

Splitting meals is fine, we have done this many times in WDW. If you tell them when you are ordering that you plan to split, they will oftentimes do it in the kitchen for you and bring it out on two different plates. AND, please note that a lot of times they will also split the main portion of the meal and give you (what I thought) was more than 1/2 of the serving of your side dish.

We've never received an attitude or any dirty looks, they are always more than happy to help and even though we don't have to, we try to leave an extra few dollars in their tip to make up for the fact that we are splitting. Just doing our part to spread the magic!

Just like any other restaurant, they don't care and will almost always split the meal in the back for you. We split a LOT at WDW.

Shula's is the only place that charges a split fee, and it's not Disney owned.

We, DM DD9, and myself have shared many meals at WDW-both on and off DDP. We've never had a problem or even a 2nd glance. Of course at CS they don't know how many you're ordering for-you can even order a kid's meal for adults. We've shared meals at many TS as well. Kona, Narcoossee's, 50's PTC, just to name a few.

We always tip more than just a percentage, since we had 1 less meal.

Oh, and we've even ordered kid's meals for adults at HBD with no problem (we weren't too hungry) They charged the same price, but we had to pay for our beverage. The server even offered to double or triple the amount (of food & price).
