Can I double check that if you buy 20 shares at approx 3.20 euros then you get the discount as below, or is this the basic amount to buy and you have to pay a membership fee every two years and you do not get the full discount as below ?????

10% if you book a package direct with Disney
15% in every Disney Restaurant
15% in every Disney Store in the resort
10% in every Disney Store for limited stuff

If you become a Disney shaeholder member, then you will be entitled to the discounts you mentioned.
But i'm sure someone will double check this for you

I wondered if u can use the discounts in the hotel restaurants aswell?, e.g. inventions?

5 shares would require you to pay a small membership fee every 2 years.

20 shares does not require that membership fee.

Both amounts of shares provide you with the same discounts though.

Finally, yes it would be valid in the hotel restaurants as well as the park ones - the only ones you might not get discount at would be ranforest, Ludwigs and planet hollywood.

Although you do not have a membership fee to pay with 20 or more shares, the membership is renewed every 2 years. All you have to do is confirm that you still own the shares at the time of renewal and will be issued with a replacement shareholder club card

It does sound like a good idea and my DH is keen to buy some now, as the price seems very cheap for the perks you get.

I am totally confused though how you buy the shares and then what you have to do after
