Hello all....

We have decided to become shareholders!!
We already have a sharedealing account with Halifax (DH used to dabble in shares a few years ago).
So, our question is, if we buy the shares this week, will we have our card when go to DLP in late november (22nd).

Should be ok if you do it ASAP. I bought my shares one day (you get them within minutes of applying for them) and then applied for the shareholders club the same day. They say it takes 6 weeks to get a card so that should be fine for end of November but I think I've heard people here say that it has sometimes taken longer? Maybe fax the paperwork rather than snail mailing it.

yep fax it in and you should be fine. in any case if there is a delay with your card you can get a temp cert which would give you all the benefits of the card

My DD snail mailed her application and she still got her card through within about 3 weeks so you should be fine. If not, as mommy2ash said, they'll issue you a temporary one.

I just bought mine from halifax.co.uk - click on their sharedealing tab and it's quite easy, they guide you through it...

Kizzabel, it says you have to be registered in the UK or channel islands.
