Shareholders/AP discount in restaurants

I've just been showing DH some of the restaurant menu's on DLRP . . . trying to get him excited and wanted to check a few things.

The Shareholders Card gets you discount at Table Service restaurants & a Dream Annual Pass gets you discount at Counter Service restaurants ?

Are the discounts just for food or do they cover drinks, i.e. alcohol?

I cant answer for shareholders but the Annual pass discount is on drinks as well at both table service and counter service

if your drinks and food is all on one bill, either shareholders or Dream AP discount is for the total bill.

I used my shareholders card everywhere but then again I didnt eat at counter service... For 2 adults and 2 children it was over E25 to grab a bite so we usually waited a little longer and then ate out. Annettes is relatively cheap and you can sit down and relax and there is plenty going on to amuse the kids. We had there american breakfasts E11 each at 12:50pm one afternoon and it was amazing... You had a huge fry up (not greasy at all) with pancakes and syrup, a fresh orange and a hot drink! Its on till 1pm so if you get chance Id rather do this than the counter service...

However if I had chosen to eat at the counter service then yes I would have used my AP rather than my shareholders... Although remember at the stalls they have to call for a manager to put the discount through so you may have a 5 minute wait! It was rather annoying when we were buying toys at the smaller stalls and one rude lady near RC racer even told me I wouuld have to go elsewhere as it would take ages for a manager to come!!!

mum2threemonsters That's a good tip about Annette's & the stalls. DD will only be 2½ when we are there, so we were hoping for a mix of quick counter service and table service that are fun, as she's definitely a mover & won't stay still. Plus a bit of adult beverage thrown in too

I am hoping to get shareholders for discounts now & in the future, including from UK stores. I was hoping to get an AP too for additional discounts & to be able to fit another trip in maybe with a friend and even another cheap family trip

yes you can get AP discount at the hotel bars

As your DD is under 3 did you know she can eat free at buffet restaurants?

That's good to know on both counts.

The AP will easily offset it's own cost on bar drinks alone

& the buffet meals is a double bonus as I'm assuming there's less waiting around than menu restaurants = less toddler boredom time

(plus more money for cocktails)

I've experienced hit and miss when it comes to discount on drinks in the bar. I've found it depends on the server. In Hotel New York we had no problems at all using our AP discount on drinks, but in the Sequoia Lodge the server said that we cannot use the discount on drinks... Yet in the Newport Bay we were able to use our discount!

This is not good news, we were planning on the Sequoia

I wonder if I could confirmation from somewhere . . . .
