I don't believe i've seen a thread for this on here before, so as I was at a 'modern' steam train departure this morning thought I would share and ask everyone to do the same!
Headed to Upminster Station this morning for the planned departure of the Class A1 'Tornado' - a Steam Locomotive built a couple of years ago by the National Railway Museum Trust, and purposely modernised with the necessary equipment to operate on today's main lines. In-cab radios, AWS warnings, advance signal notifiers all present in this beautifully crafted loco. Not having had a chance to see it up close since it came into operation, figured I would head down and see it, and snap off a few shots. Here's the results, but it does make me want for an ultra-wide angle lens for when I was standing less than three feet away from it!!!!
