I've been looking for a Wishes dessert party for the same day! Just started planning a last minute trip about 2 weeks ago. I wanted to get a BOG for our MK day so I was looking from time to time the first week. Last week I started checking more frequently and what do you know, a BOG ressie for 8:55pm came up! I was so excited but now I'm trying to look for an earlier time so that we could try and get a ressie for the dessert party.

Aww well I hope you find one!! I am still looking for BOG everyday... I really want 8/29 because it's my birthday!!! But I will take any day! I have a theory that they periodically release more reservations. I know our last two trips we didnt get one until a couple of weeks before we left... And there were lots available... Where before there were none! If we can't score a dinner that works, will have to just do lunch! Good luck!!!

I can finally post in here!!! I switched our plans around to be in HS the morning of DH's birthday so we can (hopefully) dine with an imagineer for lunch. Now- I am still checking obsessively for that reservation (maybe at 45 days out?).....
... however, I DID finally score a 7:40 breakfast at Cape May on that day! Was going for 8:00 but I'll take it!

Lots of food, I know, I know. I just somehow got it in my head that a birthday celebrated at Disney needs to start with Mickey waffles and characters! Not a Pop waffle...

We probably won't eat dinner and just party all night at MNSSHP stuffed silly from breakfast and the brown derby! :beach:

Because I will get dine with an imagineer. It's the perfect surprise. I have to. As the saying goes in German: Die Hoffnung Stirbt Zuletzt! Hope dies last!!!

Hear, hear!!!! I fully support this notion!

more to celebrate! we started planning an august trip after 180 days passed, so I was pretty sure BOG was out of the question. but thanks to a wonderful DISer who had an ADR to cancel, I just made a reservation for august 20th! I can't wait to try the grey stuff!

All I can say is: Keep trying!:thumbsup2 I had been trying to get Dinner reservations for BE OUR QUEST for over a month for August 1 and this morning a table openned up and I snagged it.

I talked :chat:to a 'cast member' at the dinner reservations a few weeks ago and she said the update the reservations every morning at 6 a.m. est. for over night and over seas cancellations.:scratchin

This is the third time I've been able to get reservations after the reservation site said - No tables available. I did it for the Frozen event and for the a Star Wars weekend event.

And as one poster already stated, the closer to the event the more cancellations there are!

Good Luck!

I WISH I COULD CHANGE THE COUNTDOWN BANNER!:sad2: We're going back in a three weeks and we were just there in early June!!!

I did it for the Frozen event and for the a Star Wars weekend event...

Was there a particular time you called to get the Frozen event package...I have been desperately looking for this event for this Saturday for me and DS. Since you can only book it through the reservation center, I keep calling. However, I wonder if there are some times that would be better than not to be making these calls?

I called early in the morning for the "Frozen" package.

I'd call every few hours if I were you, (if you're CD like me!) the closer you get to the time the better chance you have. People need to cancel for various reasons, over booking, last minute changes, can't go, they think it cost to much and they don't want to their credit card charged for not showing up. Also check when you get to Disney. You never know.

I got the Star Wars event package two days before the event, but that was on line. I was clicking refresh every 10 minutes or checking in every hour or so.

GOOD LUCK!

Right now I'm doing the happy dance:cool1: We had to change our plans about 2 months ago and lost most of our ADR's. Since then I have been checking 100's of times a day and checking cancelation threads. Ohana came pretty quickly, BOG took about a month or so but finally got that, for an even better time. The only one I needed was CP @ RD
FINALLY tonight I got an 8:15. Sooooooo Happy! :woohoo: Persistence does pay off and thanks to whoever cancelled.
