We are going for an 8 day trip to WDW in just about a week. We will be staying at the contemporary on the atrium club level. To say the kids are excited is an understatement. Of course, that means I am focusing on all the planning. I will be packing for the entire family (usually my husband packs his own bag but he will be meeting us there after a business trip with his suit case full of suits and business attire, so I am packing and bringing his "play clothes"). Its me, my husband and our kids (10 and 9)

Being February, I am not totally sure what type of clothing is best to bring. Will it ever be warm enough for shorts? Will the pool be heated and warm enough outside to swim? 8 days is a long trip...do I plan on doing a couple loads of laundry in the middle of the vacation? How many pairs of shoes? So many questions. So I thought I would ask if people could share their packing lists?

Thanks!

I made my own list off of this. I find there are things on it that I didn't need going in September. But its a good starting point. Look up weather underground to see averages in February in Florida to get a sense of temperatures, but I believe its one of those months where one day you want a fleece hoodie and the next you could be fine with a t-shirt. Variety might be the way to go on this one. We stayed for 8 days and did laundry once in the middle of the week while we enjoyed things around the resort. There is an app now where you can track progress on the machine so staying in the room isn't necessary.
Note: as far as shoes, always have 2 sneakers in case of rain, so one can dry while you wear the second pair. Hope this helps. Have a good trip!

Layers is what you need to plan ...yes shorts, light pants, light jacket, short sleeves and long sleeves for all. I always bring a variety as the days can start out cool and them be very warm later. I'd plan on swimming..pools are heated.
Also at least 2 pairs of shoers/ sneakers per person...rain is always a chance..

We are also leaving in a week. This will be the 3rd yr in a row we have gone at the beginning of Feb. PP was right, one day it is cool and the next is warm. While at the parks, layers are the way to go. As the day went on, it got warmer. There are lockers for rent at the parks so you can put your extra layers in there until later in the evening when it will cool down.
Extra shoes are key. Not only if they get wet, but unless you are true walker, you don't know how your feet will react to one pair. You do a lot of walking. We always do at least 1 load of laundry. It will help cut down on what you may pack. Don't forget to buy some ponchos. You can get them from the dollar store. Easy to toss in your backpack incase you get caught in rain at the park.
