Please share your experience of taking your young boys to this. My son, who will be 6 for our next trip, has expressed an interest in having breakfast with Jasmine. We have quite a while before our next trip, but I never considered taking him to a princess breakfast. He's quite the ladies man, and on our last trip when he met Pocahontas he kept telling her how pretty she was.

If you've taken a young boy, please let me know how they liked it.

My friends/neighbours brought their boys (4.5 and 10yrs) to Akershus for breakfast. The younger one got into the photos with the princesses.

The older one and his older cousin didn't seem to mind too much eating with the princesses visiting the table. Don't recall if they got in any photos or not. They did for the one with Belle-photo package.

If you think your son would enjoy it, I'd do it. The character interaction is good, and Jasmine has been there every time I've eaten there. The food is good, the potatoes are awesome.

we have been twice but never had jasmine maybe 3x a charm

I don't have any experience with this but wanted to say that my DH and his friend had dinner at CRT because they really wanted to see Cinderella. He was 14 and enjoyed every minute of it ;). Sometimes you're not too old. Now he wants to see Tink :rotfl:

We went to Akershus twice in 2009 for breakfast and didn't see Jasmine either time. We did see Jasmine at lunch and breakfast at CRT. Also Jasmine and Aladdin do character meet and greets in Morocco and they were great with my kids.

My son, who is now 12, has always enjoyed dining with the princesses. We even did it before is sister came along who is now 4. If your son is interested in the princesses he will have a great time.

Thanks for your experiences. I think he'll love it, and so will my DH :rotfl:

I just wanted to say- Your son is brilliant and ahead of the curve. Hitting on the ladies while his comrades still sneer and say "ewwww! Groooooss!!!!!" Smart kid ;)

My ds8 has done his fair share of princess breakfasts, since he has a twin sister. The princesses know how to get the boys involved and I'm sure they love it when boy really wants to meet them. My dh loves it when Jasmine shows up!:lmao:

My boys, especially the oldest who is a ladies' man too, love a princess meal. We've gone to Akershus every trip!

We went in June with my then 6 year old twins (one boy and one girl). My son wouldn't have anything at all to do with the Princesses. He wouldn't stand next to them and wouldn't get his picture taken with them. But when we left he whispered in my ear, Mom those princesses were pretty! lol!

I will be enjoying this breakfast with my 3 kids in April. My eldest is a 9 year old boy and while he would NEVER admit it he was very impressed with Jasmine last year at CRT. I am hoping that this is a fun and interactive meal and its something new for us.... Here's to our boys:)

We took two 5yr old boys (my son & nephew) to Akershus this past October, and they didn't have a problem meeting all the princesses. They both got autographs in their books, and seemed to enjoy being in the photos just as much as my girls did. My son is used to having older sisters though, so girly things don't bother him.

What was funny, my 23yr old nephew seemed to LOVE all the princess meals, probably more than the kids did. At Akershus he asked for his picture alone with Ariel (he loved that she kept calling him sailor) ...... he also asked for his picture alone with Tinkerbell in Magic Kingdom ...... all the flirting finally paid off when he got to dance with one of the step sisters at 1900 Park Fare at dinner one night. He has the picture of him and Ariel as his profile picture on his Facebook page. He isn't embarrassed at all for his friends to see it. He kept telling us that he would get Cinderella to fall in love with him, and he would move us all into the castle. Unfortunately, that never happened. :confused3

We all had a great time, and can't wait to go back. Akershus was definitely voted one of the favorite meals of the trip. Jasmine wasn't there for breakfast though, but we did see her at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast.

If you click on my Jan 09 link I have a ton of pics and a full review
