I am making notes on my list of restaurants so I will know which ones were best. I was told by a CM that there is one by Soarin'... don't know the name of it, though...

Also, any tricks for good snacks?

We are going to Sunshine Seasons at Epcot. I read a lot of good reviews on that one.

At MK, we're going to try Pinocchios, Columbia House, and Cosmic Rays.

At AK, haven't decided yet....either Tusker or Pizzafari.

At DTD, we're going to Wolfgang Puck Express for pizza.

Have fun deciding! Enjoy!

Tusker House is my fav!! The salmon is as good, or better, than any TS meal!! At EPCOT you can get most any of the ethnic foods at a walk-up CS place. We like the Mexican and the Japanese ones. HTH!

If you are staying on site, you can use the snack credits at the hotel store. We were able to use the credits for 2 liter bottles of soda and large bags of chips. This was great use of credits for us.
Another very good use is the Main Street Bakery at MK. All those lovely pastries-mmmmm!

I loved the tangerine cafe in Morocco in epcot - stellar food. I had the chicken shwawrma platter (sliced seasoned chicken) w/Tzatziki sauce, a side of humis, a side of cous cous salad, a side of tabbouleh (the best tabbouleh I have ever had) bread, baklava for dessert and a bev.

very very good

Also a vote for pepper market at Coronado springs. My mom had the rib eye steak for lunch 3 x in 5 days. The bourbon salmon was good too.

Afte reading enough threads on Counter Service meals, I'm tempted to have the Pepper Market Rib-eye 5 X in FIVE days!!!

I mean...I'll feel a little cheated wasting the credit on a burger and fries...

How easy is it to leave any of the parks midday to hop over to the Coronado for lunch?

I got the Pepper Market rib eye too! I think it was something like $18!! Definitely gets your moneys worth on that one!! Pepper Market was definitely something different!!

From what I hear, Wolfgang Puck Express is no longer on the dining plan. That is tooooo bad! We ate there 2x!! It was our favorite counter service!

Flametree BBQ is our favorite in Animal Kingdom

Just 24 hours ago, I was licking my chops after finishing the rib/chicken combo from Cosmic Ray's. It was a $13.99 counter service meal that could easily feed two people!

We just got back on the 22nd (8/16 - 8/22) and used DDP at Wolfgang Pucks Express durning that week. We just werent allowed to get 2 entrees they were the meatloaf and 4 cheese ravioli.

we loved Pizzafari at AK, it was odd that there was no pizza on the kid's menu, though.
Columbia Harbour House was also very good and a great place to hide from and watch the crowds.
The food at Typhoon Tilly's at Typhoon Lagoon surprised me. It was a bigger menu than I expeced ( i had the rib special) and the food was WAY above "snack bar" quaulity.

Sommerfest in Germany right by the Biergarten restaurant in EPCOT is great! Great breakfasts are found in the All Star Movie resort and we also loved Mara at the Animal Kingdom lodge. In the Magic Kingdom I love Pinnochio house strictly for the ambience but it's VERY popular and often crowded. I also hear cosmic rays is good.

We were considering going to the Mara at AKL just to check out the animals. We are staying at Pop, so I thought the kids would enjoy that. Does anyone do that, go to another resort for a CS meal :confused3

Another vote for Cosmic Rays...actually my CS at All Star Music the Penne pasta with chicken and garlic breadstick was really good as well.

Just back and we really enjoyed:

Wolfgang Puck Express DTD Marketplace --went 2x's because it was so good and it felt more like table service since they brought you your meals (though we did tip here even though it is a CS credit)

Tusker House AK -- loved the salmon and chicken platters

Columbia Habour House MK - yummy chicken and fish combos comes with fries and you can substitute the clam chowder instead of a dessert

Cosmic Rays MK -- the chicken and ribs combos were good though I remember the chicken being a little more seasoned last year (was a little bland on its own so we dipped it bbq and honey mustard sauces)

We also ate at the Everything POP Foodcourt which was pretty good and Toy Story Pizza Planet (MGM) which also was not bad. I finally got to try a turkey leg at Blizzard Beach which was yummy at Avalunch (here they included a dessert with the turkey leg meal and I read reports of other places at WDW not offering dessert with turkey leg meals just turkey, chip and a drink where as I also got a fruit salad --though I could have had something else as well)

Our favorite cs is Pecos Bill in MK. The burgers are great and the fixin bar is fabulous. I don't even like chocolate and was very disappointed when they only had peanut butter brownies, but they were delicous.

It's as easy as boarding a resort bus to CSR and well worth the trip, in my opinion!
