Shaping up for 2.0

I DID IT I DID IT I DID IT!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2

:)

Fabulous!
What did you do (other than the obvious!) during your hour on the treadmill?

I have only done a full hour a few times. Usually half hour is enough. I listen to podcasts while I on the treadmill. The gym has a stack of magazines. I find that fipping through the trashy entertainment ones makes the time fly.

Today I did 20 miniutes with the Wii and an hour of medium effort water aerobics. At the gym I just did the weights, then a half hour walk outside. It was over fifty degrees and the sky was so blue!

Oops! Then I ate popcorn and ice cream during the Academy Awards.

Maybe someday I will be to the point where I will be doing that much. Hope so. :) Thanks for sharing!

That is awesome! I've gone an hour outside, but 45 on a treadmill is my max. I hate treadmills.

Well, winter is over and so is my being a hermit. Time to start getting out more and eating healthier. Been a week so far and I already feel better.

4 miles this morning. :thumbsup2

4 MILES!!!!!!:woohoo:That's great! Ya... I ain't no where close to doing 4 miles. This week the most I did at one time was 2.5 miles. I have heard to make it fun pretend you are walking around WDW :confused3.... ya that don't work. I still don't like it. :rotfl:

Well today was my weigh in day and I am down 3 lbs. :teacher: I know they say the first week is all water weight so I guess I have to wait and see how the next week goes.

HOLY MICKEY MOUSE!!!!!:mickeyjum I DID IT I DID IT !!!! BUT THIS TIME ONLY BETTER!!!!! I did 4 MILES on my treadmill! Thanks to you all! It all started the other day when Launchpad mentioned he did 4 miles and my reply to that was that I was no where near doing 4 miles. Then I thought to myself why not!!!! I think I under estimate myself way too much and thats not good. Yes it took me forever to do it! Took me 90 minutes to do 4.10 miles. But I did it!!!! Not to mention I did 45 minutes of Wii fit before I even got on! I am so proud of myself that it may be geeky but i took a picture of my treadmill results screen so that next time I feel like I just can't do it I can look at that photo and see that I really can!!!! If I can figure out how to post a pic I am going to put it here too as a little reward for myself. :cool1: Yay for me!!!! So I know it probably took me close to double or perhaps triple lol the time it takes other folks but... Am I glad I did it ???? Yes.... Do I hope someone posts on here tomorrow that they did 5 miles and then it makes me feel like I want to match it???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :badpc: :lmao: Thanks for getting me motivated with this thread everyone. You're all great! :thanks: .... :disrocks: Now how do I post a picture???? Hmmmmmm.... ( Time Elapsed: 1 hour and 12 minutes!!!!! ) Ahhhh....... piece of cake! :rotfl2:

Great Job!

Trish, I like th etreadmill photo. Keep it in a place to remind yourself -
:woohoo:"I CAN DO IT!" :woohoo:

:wave2: I guess I had better start jumping in here...

I found an indoor track to walk at the beginning of the year and have been trying to go 3x/week. I have tried doing treadmills, but it kills my low back. Last week, I started the c25k program and love it. I am doing c25k MWF, and I am doing yoga on Tuesdays. I am going to try and do some strength training on Thursdays and maybe once on the weekends. Any Wii game suggestions for that? I have Wii Fit Plus, but I don't feel like it's enough for strength.

I have found that exercising is helping me naturally make healthier eating choices, or at least be more aware of what and how much I am eating. Portion control is a huge issue for me, so I am working on that, and I have completely cut out drinking Coke, which was my only vice :scared1: and was really hard to do.

OW OW OW OW OWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!! :sad2: Thanks everyone! Let me tell you I was ALOT less pround when I woke up this morning and couldn't step on the left heel. I have been hobbling around the house this morning. Soooooooooooo I am thinking... next time throw the orthotics out of the shoes when i get the urge to walk that far again. DH did not seem overly happy about the foot but I don't know what I am suppose to do. If I don't move they will never get better. I will try switch it up a little more which will be easier in the spring when I can get outside and move around. Till then I am not sure what I am going to do. I got some workout videos that I have never done might have to try alternate that with the treadmill. Wildfan sound like you are moving alot! Yay for you will the healthy eating and the axe of the coke. I hear that can be very tough and can make a world of differance! So good for you!!!:cheer2: That is fantastic! Keep it up!!! How is everyone else doing this week?

I second what Paul said...take Advil or Motrin. And use ice. I'd go nuts without both. I have very weak ankles, bad knees, and had back surgery for a herniated disc in my low back 4 years ago that gets sore very easily (which is why I cannot use a treadmill). This is a big reason why I do yoga...it helps stretch out my muscles, especially the tight ones in my low back, and makes everything much more tolerable. I also wear sneakers constantly. When you are stretching before getting on the treadmill, don't forget your feet and toes!

I know... I wish I could take Advil or Motrin but the fact of the matter is I am no longer allowed to used either. Doctor's orders. I have a real pickey stomach it don't make enough of whatever it needs to protect itself from Advil or Motrin is what they told me. I can take Tylenol but might as well take M&M's for all the help they do for the pain. :lmao: Seems alot of folks can't use the treadmill. Maybe that's how I hurt my foot in the first place. :confused3 Can't wait till summer. Summer = Golf!!!!! :)

Well the foot is feeling much better. I have been frustrated because I weighed myself midweek and gained 1.5 lbs and DID NOT cheat so i was quite frustrated which then lead me to go do measurments to see if I notice a change there in a month or so. I think I will stick to weighing myself once a week and not on the days inbetween so I am not so discouraged when I don't see progress. This lead me to skipping the exercise for a few days which I know was a terrible thing to do. I need to learn how to handle no change better. :sad2: Thanks for listening.

Well weigh in day it is! I lost 1.5 pounds which means pretty much nothing since that is the 1.5 i had gained. Well good riddance to that. I am losing my grove slowly I need to get it back and hang onto it! I think I can.... I think I can..... I think I can!
